This year, the Medical Education Committee under the Office of the National Vice President envisioned this Network as one that gives great importance in medical education and ensures that medical students will have the opportunities that help them develop their professional skills. Furthermore, this committee aims to empower every medical student to create a change in education and proactively respond to the needs of medicine, technology, and medical advocacies through introducing medical students to different conferences, conventions, and research.

In line with this, we would like to invite you all to join a monthly Research Forum hosted by the UP Physician Scientists Association, in partnership with the Philippine Virology Institute. Their second forum will be held on September 29, 2021, at 8 AM with Guest Speaker Dr. Rowena Cristina Guevara, the Undersecretary for Research and Development Department of Science and Technology Project Leader.

Following the release of the Commission on Auditโ€™s reports flagging numerous pandemic expenses and โ€œdeficiencies,โ€ budget has become a major hot topic. Especially with budget debates in Congress already ongoing, this is a good time to help inform Filipinos on how they can take an active role in budget watch.

That being said, we are inviting you to join Rapplerโ€™s fourth community show titled โ€œ#CourageON: Tumindig, makialam, kumilos.โ€ The show puts a spotlight on pressing issues in the Philippines and the ways we can take action on them together. We will be tackling what Filipinos can do to be heard during budget season, as well as the ways they can help keep watch on the budget and influence policy decisions.

More than a year into the pandemic. 2nd year of online classes. 3 seasons of ECQs. Now, we ask you: How are you? How have you been?

The pandemic immensely affected our lives. It has made lasting changes in how we view and practice healthcare from boosting our immune system to practicing minimum health protocols. But more than the physical, the pandemic also affected our mental and emotional well-being.

Watch out as the APMC-SN Socio-Civic Committee kicks off โ€œThe Sem;colon Project 2021โ€, the networkโ€™s annual national mental health event with the aim to raise mental health awareness and provide training and workshops to medical students.
