[JAPMC Editorial Board Call for Submissions]

The Journal of the Association of Philippine Medical Colleges (JAPMC) is a refereed, English language medical and health science journal published annually by the Association of Philippine Medical Colleges Foundation, Inc.

JAPMC publishes research manuscripts only with faculty and bonafide students of member schools of APMCFI as principal or co-authors. Manuscripts on all areas of biomedical and clinical sciences, medical education, public health and policy, medical humanities and ethics, and other subjects that might be of interest to the medical science community are accepted. Systematic reviews, meta-analyses, communications, original research, case reports, and policy papers are accepted.

Work should be of a quality and context that the Editorial Board think would be of interest to a global readership. Manuscripts are subject to a peer review process that utilizes a panel of researchers who are experts in relevant fields.

Referees are asked to judge the quality of research and also the relevance and accessibility of a paper for a global audience. JAPMC uses double blind review, meaning reviewers are not able to establish the author(s) of a manuscript.

[JUANKALUSUGAN: HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign Part 1]

As of January 2022, the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines reported a total of 95,212 HIV/AIDS cases since January 1984. The number of cases continues to fluctuate as the years pass. December 1 is declared as World AIDS Day.

As we celebrate World AIDS Day, APMC launches the JUANKALUSUGAN campaign in support of those living with the disease, to encourage the people to get tested and treated, prevent the transmission, educate and break the stigma, and also, to remember those who have lost their battle against the disease. Together with APMC, join us as we break the stigma against HIV
AIDS.
