أعوذُ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ


Holy Qur'ān, Surah Yunus

وَمَا كَانَ النَّاسُ إِلَّا أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً فَاخْتَلَفُوا ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ فِيمَا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ ۝١٩
Mankind were but one community (i.e. on one religion - Islamic Monotheism), then they differed (later), and had not it been for a Word that went forth before from your Lord, it would have been settled between them regarding what they differed.

أي‏:‏ ‏{‏وَمَا كَانَ النَّاسُ إِلَّا أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً‏}‏ متفقين على الدين الصحيح، ولكنهم اختلفوا، فبعث الله الرسل مبشرين ومنذرين، وأنزل معهم الكتاب ليحكم بين الناس فيما اختلفوا فيه‏.‏
‏{‏وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ‏}‏ بإمهال العاصين وعدم معاجلتهم بذنوبهم، ‏{‏لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ‏}‏ بأن ننجي المؤمنين، ونهلك الكافرين المكذبين، وصار هذا فارقا بينهم ‏{‏فِيمَا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ‏}‏ ولكنه أراد امتحانهم وابتلاء بعضهم ببعض، ليتبين الصادق من الكاذب‏.‏
Tafsīr of al-Saʿdī | تفسير السعدي

قوله تعالى : ( وما كان الناس إلا أمة واحدة ) أي : على الإسلام. وقد ذكرنا الاختلاف فيه في سورة البقرة ( فاختلفوا ) وتفرقوا إلى مؤمن وكافر ، ( ولولا كلمة سبقت من ربك ) بأن جعل لكل أمة أجلا. وقال الكلبي : هي إمهال هذه الأمة وأنه لا يهلكهم بالعذاب في الدنيا ، ( لقضي بينهم ) بنزول العذاب وتعجيل العقوبة للمكذبين ، وكان ذلك فصلا بينهم ، ( فيما فيه يختلفون ) وقال الحسن : ولولا كلمة سبقت من ربك مضت في حكمه أنه : لا يقضي بينهم فيما اختلفوا فيه بالثواب والعقاب دون القيامة ، لقضي بينهم في الدنيا فأدخل المؤمن الجنة والكافر النار ، ولكنه سبق من الله الأجل فجعل موعدهم يوم القيامة.

| English Tafsīr |

﴿وَلَوْلاَ كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ﴾
(And had not it been for a Word that went forth before from your Lord...)

- means that if Allah had not decreed He would not punish anyone until the evidence is established against them. And also that if He had not given creatures a respite until a defined term had passed, He would have judged among them in what they disputed. Then He would have caused the believers to be happy and delighted and the disbelievers to be miserable and wretched.

Shirk is New

Allah then tells us that Shirk was new among mankind. It was not in existence in the beginning. He tells us that people were believers in one religion and that religion was Islam.
Ibn `Abbas said: "There were ten centuries between Adam and Nuh. They were all on Islam. Then differences among people took place.

The Superior Salafi Manhaj


Shaykh Muhammad Amaan al-Jaami:

❝What makes the Salafi methodology excel and superior is that those who follow this way do not differ except in their manner, style and expression, this was due to their different time periods and circumstances, and this all goes back to the unifying source of their Dawa.

Which is the Book of Allaah, the Sunnah of His Messenger [ﷺ] and the Athaar of the Companions which clarify the meanings of the texts.

This is because they were present during the descent of the revelation and they understood the texts as they were revealed, before a long time had passed by. This is why those who came after them should have a concern of following the Salaf who came before them.❞

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

“This ummah will split into seventy three sects; all of them will enter the fire except one.
They said, ‘which is that (saved sects) O Messenger of Allah?
He replied: ‘those who are upon that which I and my companions are upon today'.”

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Adhere to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Khulafaa after me.”

Therefore, Salafiyyah is the methodology that has been obligated to us to follow and we are to abandon all other methodologies that are in opposition to it.

The (people of Salafiyyah) are the saved sect- Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah, and they are the aided group till the Day of Judgement.

❝ 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦
𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐬 𝐝𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐢𝐬
𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) ❞

The current weak state of the Muslim Ummah is primarily attributed to a loss of spiritual focus, widespread disobedience to Allāh, and the pursuit of worldly desires, according to our scholars of Islam. Key factors for this weak state of the Ummah as we know include, disunity upon the correct Aqīdah, bid'ah wa dalalah, sectarianism, neglecting religious obligations and a lack of adherence to the Quran and the Sunnah of our Prophet (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ).

Read :

❝ Ibn Al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) mentioned that one of the points of wisdom gained from the battle of Uhud is:

“Recognition of the evil consequences of sins, weakness of resolve and disputation―and that which befell them was a result of that, just as Allah (ﷻ) stated:

وَلَقَدْ صَدَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ إِذْ تَحُسُّونَهُم بِإِذْنِهِ ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا فَشِلْتُمْ وَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ وَعَصَيْتُم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا أَرَاكُم مَّا تُحِبُّونَ ۚ مِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ الدُّنْيَا وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ الْآخِرَةَ ۚ ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ لِيَبْتَلِيَكُمْ ۖ وَلَقَدْ عَفَا عَنكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۝١٥٢

‘And Allah did indeed fulfil His promise to you when you were vanquishing your enemy by His permission until the moment you lost your courage and started to dispute the command [of the
Prophet ﷺ], and you disobeyed after Allah showed you the spoils of war which you love. Among you are some that desire this world and some that desire the Hereafter.

Then He made you flee from your enemy, that He might test you.

But surely, He forgave you, and Allah is Most Gracious to the believers.’ 15

So when they tasted the punishment (and defeat) due to their disobedience of the Messenger (صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ), disputation and loss of courage at the battle of Uhud - after that, they became the most cautious, wakeful and attentive to the reasons that lead to being for-saken [by Allah]." 16

So Allah pardoned them and they learned a mighty lesson. Allah revealed sixty verses in Surah Āl ʿImrān regarding the battle that serve as a lesson, admonition and reminder to the true believers.

Seventy among the Companions were martyred at the battle of Uhud. At the battle of Badr, the Prophet (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) and his Companions (رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُم) had inflicted a strike that was twice as great: one hundred and forty casualties. Seventy pagans were taken prisoners and seventy were killed. That is why Allah stated in the verse above, "Although you had struck the enemy [at the battle of Badr] with a victory twice as great." For this reason, Abu Sufyan (a leader of the pagans at the time) said at the end of the battle of Uhud, "This is a day [of revenge] for the defeat on the day of Badr-and the issue of war is still undecided." 17

𝘚𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘴 𝘥𝘶𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘣𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘔𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 (صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ)

So, what does the Muslim Ummah expect in our times?...❞

أعوذُ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ

ولهذا أقول: إننا لن نقضي على اليهود باسم العروبة أبداً؛
For this reason I say: We will never remove the Jews (from Palestine) by the call of Pan-Arabism,

لن نقضي عليهم إلا باسم الإسلام؛
we will only remove them with the name of al-Islām.

ومن شاء فليقرأ قوله تعالى:
{ولقد كتبنا في الزبور من بعد الذكر أن الأرض يرثها عبادي الصالحون}
[الأنبياء : 105]
Whoever wants let him recite the statement of the Exalted:
{And indeed We have written in Psalms after, that My righteous slaves shall inherit the land} (21:105)

فجعل الميراث لعباده الصالحين؛
Thus He made the inheritance for His righteous slaves.

وما عُلِّق بوصف فإنه يوجد بوجوده، وينتفي بانتفائه؛
And that which is connected to a description will occur when the description is present, and it will be negated when the description is negated.

فإذا كنا عبادَ الله الصالحين ورثناها بكل يسر وسهولة،
If we are righteous slaves of Allah we will inherit it with complete ease,

وبدون هذه المشقات، والمتاعب، والمصاعب، والكلامِ الطويل العريض الذي لا ينتهي أبداً!!
without any hardship, toil or difficulty and without long drawn out speeches which never end!!

نستحلها بنصر الله عزّ وجلّ، وبكتابة الله لنا ذلك.
We will seize it with the help of Allah the Exalted with what Allah has decreed for us.

وما أيسره على الله!
And how easy is this for Allah!

ونحن نعلم أن المسلمين ما ملكوا فلسطين في عهد الإسلام الزاهر إلا بإسلامهم؛
We know that the Muslims did not rule Palestine during the illustrious era of al-Islām except due to their Islām.

ولا استولوا على المدائن عاصمة الفرس، ولا على عاصمة الروم، ولا على عاصمة القبط إلا بالإسلام؛
And they did not conquer the capital cities of Persian, and the capital of Rome, and the capital of the Coptic except due to their Islām.

ولذلك ليت شبابنا يعون وعياً صحيحاً بأنه لا يمكن الانتصار المطلق إلا بالإسلام الحقيقي.
Thus if only our youth were conscious and aware that absolute victory is not possible except with al-Islām al-ḥaqīqī (ie: real Islām);

لا إسلام الهوية بالبطاقة الشخصية!
not Islām which is identified by an ID card!

ولعل بعضنا سمع قصة سعد بن أبي وقاص رضي الله عنه
And perhaps some of you have heard the qiṣṣah (ie: story of) Saʿd b. Abī Waqqāṣ may Allah be pleased with him.

حينما كسرت الفُرس الجسور على نهر دجلة، وأغرقت السفن لئلا يعبر المسلمون إليهم؛
The Persians had destroyed the bridge over the Tigris River and sank the ships so the Muslims would not cross (the river) and reach them.

فسخَّر الله لهم البحر؛
So Allah subjugated the river for them.

فصاروا يمشون على ظهر الماء بخيلهم، ورجلهم، وإبلهم؛
Thus they started walking on top of the water with their horses, their men, and their camels.

يمشون على الماء كما يمشون على الأرض
They walked on top of the water just as they walked on top of the land.

لا يغطي الماء خفاف الإبل؛
The water did not cover the hooves of the camels.

وإذا تعب فرس أحدهم قيض الله له صخرة تربو حتى يستريح عليها؛
When the horses became tired Allah facilitated a raised boulder so they could rest upon it.

وهذا من آيات الله. ولا شك؛
And this was from the signs of Allah no doubt.

والله تعالى على كل شيء قدير؛
And Allah the Exalted has power over all things.

فالذي فلق البحر لموسى. عليه الصلاة والسلام. ولقومه، وصار يبساً في لحظة، ومشوا عليه آمنين؛
Thus the One who split the sea for Mūsá peace be upon him and his people such that it instantly became a dry path for them and they walked therein safely;

قادر على ما هو أعظم من ذلك.
has the ability to do greater than that.

Holy Qur'ān, Surah Yunus

وَاللَّهُ يَدْعُو
إِلَىٰ دَارِ السَّلَامِ
وَيَهْدِي مَن يَشَاءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ ۝٢٥
Allah calls to the home of peace (i.e. Paradise, by accepting Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism and by doing righteous good deeds and abstaining from polytheism and evil deeds) and guides whom He wills to a Straight Path.

تعالى عباده بالدعوة إلى دار السلام، والحث على ذلك، والترغيب، وخص بالهداية من شاء استخلاصه واصطفاءه، فهذا فضله وإحسانه، والله يختص برحمته من يشاء، وذلك عدله وحكمته، وليس لأحد عليه حجة بعد البيان والرسل، وسمى الله الجنة ‏"‏دار السلام‏"‏ لسلامتها من جميع الآفات والنقائص، وذلك لكمال نعيمها وتمامه وبقائه، وحسنه من كل وجه‏.‏
Tafsīr of al-Saʿdī | تفسير السعدي

| English Tafsīr |
Allah said:
﴿وَاللَّهُ يَدْعُو إِلَى دَارِ السَّلاَمِ﴾
(And Allah calls to the Abode of Peace)

- When Allah mentioned the swiftness of this world and its termination, He invited people to Paradise and encouraged them to seek it.

He called it the Abode of Peace. It is the Abode of Peace because it is free from defects and miseries.

So Allah said:

﴿وَاللَّهُ يَدْعُو إِلَى دَارِ السَّلاَمِ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ ﴾
(Allah calls to the Home of Peace and guides whom He wills to the Straight Path.)

والحمد لله،

ولا إله إلا الله،

والله أكبر ﴾

Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, said:
Allah's Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
"Take up your shields."
They said, "O Allah's Messenger! Is the enemy present?"
He said: "No, rather your shields against the Hellfire are (that you say)

"Subhaanallah, Wal Hamdu lil-lah, Laa ilaaha illal laah, Wallahu Akbar,

for indeed, they will come on the Day of Resurrection as saviours, preceding the person as a means of salvation and they are enduring (everlasting) good deeds"

Holy Qur'ān, Surah Al-Kahf

الْمَالُ وَالْبَنُونَ زِينَةُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ
وَالْبَاقِيَاتُ الصَّالِحَاتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ أَمَلًا ۝٤٦
Wealth and children are the adornment of the life of this world. But the good righteous deeds (five compulsory prayers, deeds of Allah's obedience, good and nice talk, remembrance of Allah with glorification, praises and thanks, etc.), that last, are better with your Lord for rewards and better in respect of hope.

وهذا يشمل جميع الطاعات الواجبة والمستحبة من حقوق الله، وحقوق عباده، من صلاة، وزكاة، وصدقة، وحج، وعمرة، وتسبيح، وتحميد، وتهليل، وتكبير، وقراءة، وطلب علم نافع، وأمر بمعروف، ونهي عن منكر، وصلة رحم، وبر والدين، وقيام بحق الزوجات، والمماليك، والبهائم، وجميع وجوه الإحسان إلى الخلق، كل هذا من الباقيات الصالحات، فهذه خير عند الله ثوابا وخير أملا، فثوابها يبقى، ويتضاعف على الآباد، ويؤمل أجرها وبرها ونفعها عند الحاجة، فهذه التي ينبغي أن يتنافس بها المتنافسون، ويستبق إليها العاملون، ويجد في تحصيلها المجتهدون، وتأمل كيف لما ضرب الله مثل الدنيا وحالها واضمحلالها ذكر أن الذي فيها نوعان: نوع من زينتها، يتمتع به قليلا، ثم يزول بلا فائدة تعود لصاحبه، بل ربما لحقته مضرته وهو المال والبنون ونوع يبقى وينفع صاحبه على الدوام، وهي الباقيات الصالحات.

Ibn Abbas, Sa'id bin Jubayr and others among the Salaf said that the good righteous deeds that last are the five daily prayers.

"Ata' bin Abi Rabah and Sa'id bin Jubayr narrated from Ibn 'Abbas,
"The good righteous deeds that last are 'Subhan Allah (glory be to Allah)', 'Al-Hamdu Lillah (praise be to Allah)', "La ilaha illallah (there is none worthy of worship except Allah)', and Allahu Akbar (Allah is Most Great)."

The Commander of the faithful, 'Uthman bin 'Affan was questioned,
"Which are the good righteous deeds that last" He replied,
"They are: "La ilaha illallah, Subhan Allah, Al-Hamdu Lillah, Allahu Akbar and La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah hil-'Aliyil-Azim (there is no strength and no power except with Allah the Exalted, the Almighty)."

From Anas bin Malik who said that the Messenger of Allaah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam said:

‘Whosoever said when he goes to his bed to sleep:

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَفَانِي وَآوَانِي
Praise be to Allaah Who has sufficed me and given me shelter,
Alhamdulillaah allathi kaffaani wa Awaani


الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي وَسَقَانِي
Praise be to Allaah Who has fed me and given me drink,
Alhamdulillaah allathi Atta’amani wa Saqqani


الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي مَنَّ عَلَيَّ فَأَفْضَلَ
Praise be to Allaah Who has blessed me and increased blessings upon me,
Alhamdulillaah allathi Manna alayee fa Afdaala


اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعِزَّتِكَ أَنْ تُنَجِّيَنِي مِنْ النَّارِ
O Allaah indeed I ask of You, by Your Honour to save me from the Hellfire.’
Allaahumma inni assaluka bi ‘Izza’atak un Tanjeeni min an-Naar.


فقد حمد الله بمحامد الخلق كلهمُ.
Then he has praised Allaah with all the praises of all creation.’

Prior to 1358 AH, the area spanning southern Saudi Arabia and northern Yemen was steeped in superstitions, ignorance, acts of polytheism, and innovations.

But Allah would decree that the Shaykh, the reformer, ‘Abd Allah al-Qar’awi would settle in the region and establish the call of the Prophets and Messengers: the call to tawhid. He instituted schools, built masajid, delivered sermons, taught lessons in towns and villages, and introduced thousands of men, women, and children to the methodology of the Salaf. He was, as Shaykh Rabi’ b. Hadi al-Madkhali said of him, "knowledgeable, pious, ascetic, earnest, patient, and dependent upon [Allah Alone] in his call. He was Salafi in creed, upon the ‘aqidah of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah."
