My new avatar is “The Plant Dad”

My late 20s have given me teams, missions, travel but unfortunately no dogs or kids. Now my paternal instincts are directed towards my plants that I love so very much.

Now that the bakchodi is done, here are 10 quick “adulting” lessons I have picked up after moving into my own space :

1. Moving out forces you to become disciplined in more ways than you can imagine. Discipline is hard. But the results of discipline make your life easier!

2. Pause often. Energy levels are not what they were in your early 20s. Listen to your body.

3. Keep your habitat clean yaar 🙏🏻 clean rooms mean clean minds. What a plant dad thing to say…

4. Writing poetry gets easier with age. So does podcasting. Ageing adds calm, experience & creativity.

5. Remember, you are still a kid who’s growing up… always. You don’t know everything.

6. The more one learns, the stupider one feels as they grow older. If this is not happening with you, it probably means your learning has stopped.

7. Confidence is silent. Insecurities are loud.

8. Practice even moderation in moderation.

9. If time isn’t healing you, a change of environment will.

10. Every year, you’ll think, “it can’t get tougher than this!”… but it does. So flow with the levelling up. Absorb it, enjoy it. Don’t spend time on pitying yourself or on thinking about the results.

Just do your best every day and know that the BEST is yet to come 🏝
