The IDF spokesman in Arabic, Lt. Col. Avihai Adrei, informed that the IDF opened a humanitarian corridor in recent days - to allow the residents of the western Khan Yunis area to evacuate to the west, to the Mawasi area, and to leave the combat zone.
According to the IDF, tens of thousands of Gazan citizens have passed through the corridor in recent days. IDF soldiers helped civilians on the spot, such as the elderly and sick.
In recent days, citizens in Gaza contacted the IDF and testified that Hamas is preventing them from leaving the territory - using threats and violence.
The IDF spokesman said that the humanitarian corridor will remain open today until 16:00.
