We wanted to inform you about some recent changes regarding cash orders and Bolt Balance that will affect your interactions with clients.
Effective immediately, there has been a modification to the way cash orders are handled in relation to Bolt Balance. Previously, if an client paid with cash and provided an amount greater than the order price, you were able to return the excess amount to their Bolt Balance. However, we are required to deprecate this functionality.
To comply with the new regulations, we have implemented a restriction on the maximum amount of excess cash that can be returned to the clients' Bolt Balance. Regardless of the amount they provide, you will only be able to return a maximum of 20 EUR in excess from the total order price to Bolt Balance.
💡 Here's an examples to illustrate the change: 👇
1️⃣ If the order costs 10 EUR and the client pays with 30 EUR, you will be able to return 20 EUR to the client's Bolt Balance, which complies with the new regulations. ✅
2️⃣ If the order costs 20 EUR and the client pays with 50 EUR, you won't be able to return 30 EUR to the client's Bolt Balance.
IMPORTANT: 👆In these situations collect the 50 EUR, mark order as paid with 40 EUR and inform the client to contact the customer support to receive another 10 EUR on Bolt Balance.
