संतप्तायसि संस्थितस्य पयसो नामापि न श्रूयते
मुक्ताकारस्त या तदेव नलिनीपत्रस्थितं राजते |
मध्ये सागरशुक्तिमध्य पतितं तन्मौक्तिकं जायते
प्रायेणाधम मध्यमोत्तमगुणा: संसर्गतो देहिनाम् ||
जल की एक बूंद् जब अत्यन्त तप्त (गरम) लोहे के ऊपर पडती है तो उसका नाम भी नहीं सुनाई देता है (वह भाप बन कर उड जाती है) | वही बूंद जब एक कमल पुष्प के पत्ते के ऊपर पडती है तो एक सुन्दर और गोल मोती के समान उस पर सुशोभित होती है | और यदि सागर के मध्य में किसी सीपी के अन्दर गिर जाती है तो कालान्तर में वह मोती बन जाती है | इसी प्रकार मनुष्य भी यदि नीच व्यक्तियों के संपर्क में वे आते है तो वैसे ही अधम (नीच)और यदि गुणवान (उत्तम) व्यक्तियों के संपर्क में आते हैं तो वैसे ही गुणवान हो जाते हैं |
When a drop of water falls over heated iron one does not hear about it again (it evaporates immediately), but when it falls over the leaf of a lotus plant, it takes a round shape and shines like a pearl. And if the drop of water falls in the middle of the sea inside an oyster shell, it ultimately turns into a beautiful pearl. In the same manner if a person keeps the company of mean and bad people he too becomes bad and if he keeps the company of noble and virtuous persons he too becomes virtuous.

Of these, the best is the man of wisdom, ever established in identity with Me and possessed of exclusive devotion. For, I am extremely dear to the wise man who knows Me in reality, and he is extremely dear to Me.
प्रियो हि ज्ञानिनोऽत्यर्थमहं स च मम प्रिय:॥ १७॥

Lord Krishna said to Arjuna: “Nimitha Mathrum Bhava Savyasachin” “Arjuna, become an instrument of God” (Bhagavad Gita 11:33) By becoming an instrument of God, we can eradicate our ego very easily and also we can eliminate our karmic debt. What Lord Krishna has said to Arjuna is applicable to everyone and even to those who have nothing to do with Hinduism. Only by surrendering OUR EGO, we can dealt with problems in life. During the last chapter of the Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna again said: " Arjuna, abandon all Dharma (duties) and just surrender unto me (the will of God). I shall personally deliver you from all bonds of Karma. Do not fear." ( 18:66)

A person who desires absolute happiness in his life , must have full control over his desires and remain satisfied over his lot, because being contented is the root cause of happiness, and its opposite being always discontented is the root cause of all woes and miseries.
*(There is no end to the desires among men. Therefore it is said that if wishes were horses fools would ride on them, The desires soon turn into greed. So it is essential to have a control over desires if one wants to be happy in his life. Otherwise in spite of having every thing a person may still feel himself as a poor person. The theme of the above Subhashita is based on this fact of Life.)*🙏

BHAGAVAD GITA: AMAZING FACTS. What makes Bhagavad Gita the most important scripture in the world? Because of the variety of subjects, discussed in its seven hundred couplets. • Bhagavad Gita gives everyone of us absolute freedom to do whatever we want. • In Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna never judged or ordered; He only explained to Arjuna the pros and cons of every issue and was left to Arjuna whether to follow his teachings or not. • Lord Krishna did not even influence the free will of Arjuna. मदमस्त हाथियों के मस्तक के मांस के टुकडों से अपनी क्षुधा शान्त करने का आदी हो, अपनी वृद्धावस्था के कारण दुबळा, शिथिल, तेजहीन, भूख से व्याकुल, अत्यन्त कष्ट मे प्राण जाने की स्थिति में होने पर भी क्या सूखी घास के तिनकों से अपनी क्षुधा शान्त कर सकता है?
A lion, foremost among the animals of a forest, who is accustomed of feeding himself with the flesh of the lobes on the forehead of a drunk elephant, on becoming very thin, weak and emaciated due to hunger and old age, and may even breathe his last, can he stoop so low as to eat grass to satiate his hunger?
*(The above Subhashita is an 'anyokti (allegory) based on a Lion. The idea behind it is that just as a lion may die of hunger, he will never eat grass to satiate his hunger, in the same manner noble and great persons do not act in such a way which may be below dignity for them and even sacrifice their life to preserve their status and dignity.)*🙏

They never last forever. So do not get attached to them.” (Bhagavad Gita Chapter 2:14) Things and People come and go; situations rise and fall. You have no control over what will happen during the next second. Apart from that do not get attached even to your loved ones. William Shakespeare wrote: “All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances,.........” Due to KARMIC DEBT we meet each other as father, mother, husband, wife, son, daughter etc in life. NOBODY BELONG TO ANYONE ...So why do we unnecessarily suffer.

The one who possess Forbearance or Forgiveness and uses it like a weapon, no evil-doer can harm him. Just like fire extinguishes itself when fallen on place without a straw.🙏

शौर्ये वैरिणि वज्रमाशु निपतत्वर्थोSस्तु नः केवलं
येनैकेन विना गुणास्तृणलवप्रायाः समस्ता इमे ||
चाहे अपनी जाति रसातल (पृथ्वी के गर्भ) में चली जाय तथा सारे गुणों की भी अधोगति हो जाये, शील (सच्चरित्रता) पर्वत शिखर से नीचे लुढक जाये, सभी रिश्तेदार आग में जल कर नष्ट हो जायें, शत्रुओं के विरुद्ध वीरता पर भी वज्रपात हो जाये, परन्तु केवल मेरी धन संपत्ति को कोई हानि न पहुंचे, क्यों कि इस के विना ये सारे गुण मेरे लिये केवल घास के एक गट्ठर के समान हैं |
Let my caste sink into the underworld, and all my virtues also go down deeper, and let my character also fall down from from a hill top, my relatives get burnt in a fire, my valour to fight my enemies may be struck by a thunderbolt, but in no case any harm should be done to my wealth, because without the wealth all these virtues are by and large nothing more than a bundle of ordinary grass for me.
