Endowed with such faith he worships that particular deity and obtains through that deity without doubt his desired enjoyments as ordained by Me. (7:22)

The fruit gained by these people of small understanding, however, is perishable. The worshippers of gods attain the gods; whereas My devotees, howsoever they worship Me, eventually come to Me and Me alone. (7:23)
Lord Krishna said: “Arjuna, My devotee will never perish.” “na me bhaktaḥ praṇaśyati’

(Bhagavad Gita 9.31)

Anyone who surrenders himself or herself to God has nothing to fear.
Who or What is God? God is NOT a man . God is NOT a woman.
In fact, nobody knows what God is.

Hindus believe in one and only God Brahman which expresses itself in trillions of forms and trillions of names.

God or Brahman is described as “it” and is the infinite, eternal , indescribable, omniscient, pervasive, genderless, eternal truth, and bliss which does not change, yet is the cause of all changes.

Brahman is not without any beginning nor any end. Upanishads describe Brahman as One and indivisible, eternal universal self, who is present in all.

Brahman is described in two ways.

Saguna Brahman ----God with attributes

Nirguna Brahman --- God without attributes

In Vivekachudamani, Adi Sankara wrote

“ Brahman or God alone is Truth, the world is unreal, and ultimately there NO difference between Brahman and individual self (Atman)."
What makes Bhagavad Gita the most important scripture in the world?

Because of the variety of subjects UNIVERSAL IN NATURE, discussed in its seven hundred couplets.

Albert Einstein said: “When I read the Bhagavad-Gita and reflect about how God created this universe everything else seems so superfluous.”

• Bhagavad Gita gives everyone of us absolute freedom to do whatever we want.

• In Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna never judged or ordered;

He only explained to Arjuna the pros and cons of every issue and was left to Arjuna whether to follow his teachings or not.

• Lord Krishna did not even influence the free will of Arjuna. Arjuna had the right to ACCEPT everything Lord Krishna taught or REJECT everything Lord Krishna taught.

• In fact at the end of Mahabharata, Rishi Veda Vyasa has to teach a very disheartened Arjuna, the whole of Bhagavad Gita again.
Arjuna said: “Oh Krishna, since mind is unsteady, turbulent, obstinate and very strong, controlling the mind is more difficult than controlling the wind.”

Lord Krishna answered:

“ Undoubtedly Arjuna, the mind is restless and very difficult to control, but mind can be controlled by constant practice and by detachment.”

(Bhagavad Gita Chapter 6:33,34 & 35 )
Lord Krishna said: “This self or soul known as Atman is eternal. Body is transitory, and it undergoes changes. Those who are seers of the truth concluded that we are not this perishable material body, but the Atman, the immortal soul. ”

( Bhagavad Gita 2:16)

• Hindu salvation concepts are based on the immortality of the soul.

• NAMASTE is based on the IMMORTALITY OF THE SOUL.

• According to Hindu scriptures, man's problem is the FALSE EGO that he is the body and when he/she realizes that he/she is the IMMORTAL SOUL (Atman) within the body, he or she will attain salvation.

• That is the reason why Hindu salvation is known as Self-Realization. (REALIZING one is the SELF)
Heaven and Hell are not permanent as far as Hinduism is concerned. Nobody goes to HELL forever in Hinduism.
Nobody is denied salvation.

Heaven and hell are temporary abodes where the immortal soul resides for a very short period and comes back to earth again to take another body in order to exhaust all karmic debt and attain salvation.

Arjuna asks:

"Oh! Krishna, A man of faith who could not control his mind, who deviated from spiritual path and failed to attain self-realization, and died.

What will happen to him?"

Lord Krishna said:

“A man of faith who could not control his mind, who deviated from spiritual path and failed to attain self-realization, and died, will never perish.

He will reborn into a family of pure, pious people after living many years in heaven and continue his spiritual quest, where he left off in his last life.”
No Hindu will say "I am a sinner" since sin in Hinduism means “Ignorance of the truth that one is the immortal soul within the body (Atman) and not the perishable material body.” SIN MEANS KARMIC DEBT.

PLEASE READ WHAT LORD KRISHNA SAID ABOUT SIN.

Lord Krishna said:

“Even if you are the worst sinner in the world; You can still cross the ocean of Sin; By a bark of (JNANA) wisdom.

As the blazing fire burns wood to ashes, Arjuna, so does the fire of true knowledge (JNANA) which will burn all SIN “karmic debt” to ashes.”

(Bhagavad Gita Chapter 4:36, 37)
Lord Krishna gave utmost importance to mind and thoughts throughout the Bhagavad Gita.

According to Lord Krishna, the first step is to gain clarity on any situation by developing a clear, calm and collected mind.

One way is introspection, another way is by distancing yourself from the situation - not physically but mentally - where you look at it as an outsider and have a bird's eye view of it.

We can always revisit anything that happened to us at work or at home and visualize what would have happened if we did certain things in a totally different way than what happened.

This way instead of lamenting about something that happened, we will be in control of what happened and will be in control of future events.
All of us will attain Spiritual Maturity slowly and steadily. Like a small sapling plant becoming a giant Banyan tree tree one day, even the worst among us will slowly change and become better and eventually attain spiritual maturity.

We have nothing to worry, except worry itself.

It is very difficult to describe how change comes, but that happens in the life of everyone.

ROME was not built in a day.
Neither U and I.
But we can be assured a completely change will happen within all of us and we will attain spiritual maturity

It is ordinary human beings like you and I slowly becoming yogis one day and as such everyone will go through the transformation I described.

It is a glutton worm that one day becomes a beautiful butterfly. Similarly, it is a person who is the most materialistic one day becomes a YOGI.
Hindus do not worship idols. Hindus use idols like everyone else to focus on the God who has no name or form (nama-roopa).

Hindus never ever say or believe Idol is God.

God is not a man;
God is not a woman;
Nobody knows what God is.

That is the reason why in many scriptures God is referred as “it”.

To say “God is a father” or “God is a mother” is strictly to help a devotee to concentrate on God during the initial stages of his or her devotion.

In Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:20 reads "His form is not to be seen; no one sees Him with the eye."

As well as Yajurveda 32:3 reads "na tasya pratima asti" "There is no image of Him."

When a devotee progress in his/her devotion, devotee will see God he or she is seeking has nothing to with a human attributes.
Ashramas and Ashrama Dharma are very important even today, since, Rishis developed this system in tune with the physical and mental development of a human being.

According to Hindu scriptures, human life is believed to comprise four stages based on physical and mental development.

Every human being is forced to go through these four stages in life called "Ashramas" for smooth functioning of life.

Rishis wanted all of us to go through all 4 Ashramas

Brahmacharya 8 to18 Student life

Grahasthya 18 to 40 Married life…

Vanaprastha 40 to 65

Sanyasa 65 to death

RUNNING AWAY from Garhasthya is a big mistake. That is the reason why even Rishi Veda Vyasa asked his son Rishi Suka to get married.
