PRESIDENT TRUMP: "Our policies are working incredibly. If you go back to just before the war, for the last 3 months, inflation was at 1.7%. Now, we had a choice: let these lunatics have a nuclear weapon... anybody that wants them to have a nuclear weapon is a stupid person."

Nancy Guthrie, 84, has been missing for 100 days after authorities say she was abducted from her home near Tucson, Arizona. Investigators say the case remains active, but no significant new leads have been publicly announced.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has come under intense criticism over the investigation, including from FBI Director Kash Patel, who accused the sheriff’s office of delaying FBI involvement. Nanos is also facing calls from local officials to step down over separate misconduct allegations, while a combined reward of more than $1.2 million remains unclaimed as Guthrie’s family urges anyone with information to call 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Kevin Hassett: "President Trump, in the Big Beautiful Bill, attempted to convince Congress to modernize the gas tax, and account for the fact that, for example, electric vehicles don't pay it, but they actually produce more wear and tear on the highways because they're heavier... that could allow for the gas tax to go down, if you were to equalize that... I think the President was right to advocate that then, and if we had done that then, we'd be in much better shape right now."

Bodycam Footage Shows Fatal Police Shooting After Vehicle Pursuit in Chicago

Bodycam footage released by Chicago police shows officers pursuing a vehicle driven by Derek Jordan, who they say was a suspect in an earlier shooting. Police allege Jordan attempted to ram officers by striking a bus and unmarked squad cars during the pursuit. Officers can be heard warning he would be shot if he did not exit the vehicle; when he did not comply, an officer fired into the car, striking him. Jordan was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Jordan’s family has retained attorneys from George Floyd’s case, alleging officers failed to de-escalate the situation and used excessive force. Following the incident, the officer involved was removed from active duty and reassigned to the department’s Alternate Response Section pending review.
