🔵 🎉 In 2026, the British Council celebrates 30 years of working in Uzbekistan. Over the past three decades, we have built cultural connections and created opportunities for dialogue and collaboration between our countries. 🇬🇧🇺🇿

📸 To mark this milestone, we invite you to our exhibition ‘WHO ARE WE?’, hosted at the Tashkent House of Photography from 10 November to 10 December 2026. The exhibition explores memory, archives and identity. It looks at how objects and images gain meaning over time, what we choose to keep and what that reveals about us.

👏 The galleries feature video works by contemporary British artists from the British Council Collection, alongside a special project titled ‘Archive of the present’. This initiative brings together personal items from people across generations and professions who shape Uzbekistan’s culture today. Each object is paired with its owner’s story, turning personal belongings into living records of our times.

🗣 We are also hosting talks, panel discussions and public events throughout the month. Follow our announcements to plan your visit and join the conversation.
