BITCOIN WILL CONTINUE APPRECIATING, ALTHOUGH SLOWER THAN IT USED TO - MIKE MCGLONE
According to the senior commodity strategist and analyst at Bloomberg, Bitcoin’s limited supply and increasing adoption will lead to steady, although gradual, appreciation. McGlone, says he is convinced that Bitcoin will continue to appreciate due to its fixed supply coupled with increasing demand.
“I don't see what could make it stop doing what it’s been doing for the last 10 years. And that's going up”, he told Cointelegraph in a recent interview. McGlone sees Bitcoin’s capped supply as the main feature. He said that this potentially makes it a better store of value than gold, the total amount of which is unknown.
Given the fixed supply, Bitcoin is going to appreciate as demand for it increases. McGlone points at the growing number of active Bitcoin addresses and the increasing flow of Bitcoin into regulated exchanges as two main factors proving the increasing demand for Bitcoin.

BITCOIN IS A BETTER GOLD THAN GOLD ITSELF - TYLER WINKLEVOSS
According to Tyler Winklevoss, co-founder of the Gemini crypto exchange, Bitcoin beats gold at its own game.
"Bitcoin is better at being gold than gold — and not just incrementally, but by an order of magnitude or 10X better," Winklevoss said in one of his tweets on Sept.21.
Over the last decade or so, Bitcoin has risen dramatically in price, surpassing numerous landmark price comparisons along the way. For many, it is now seen more as a store of value than a transactional currency, and the public often compares the digital coin against gold; a time-tested method of value storage that has been in use for years.
"I don't understand why there's a competition between gold and Bitcoin," Gooner, a pseudonymous crypto trader on Twitter, said. "I consider them both a store of value," he added. Nebraskan
In his post, Winklevoss stated that out of seven categories, gold ruled one — the total amount money held in the asset.

Blockstream Bitcoin satellite node launched in Venezuela
A Bitcoin services startup based in South America has just launched the first Bitcoin node connected to the Blockstream satellite network within Venezuela.
According to a Sept. 25 blog post from startup Cryptobuyer, the launch of the node will keep the Bitcoin (BTC) blockchain updated for Venezuela users without being dependent on a local internet connection. Crypto training course provider AnibalCripto deployed the node while CryptoBuyer provided financial and logistical support.
Cryptobuyer stated it would assist in the installation of additional satellite nodes in the capital, Caracas, as well as the southern state of Bolivar state, with the goal of providing all Venezuelans better access to the Bitcoin blockchain. Users within range of the nodes will reportedly be able to connect through Local Area Network (LAN).

It’s not unique to me,” he said. “I know many people in Nigeria [who] trade bitcoin as a way to earn a living. I have also taught people how to trade bitcoin because I know how bitcoin trading has changed my life and I want to be able to help people.”
"Let’s just say that the numbers of those trading are not encouraging. There’s a chance that if I had worked hard and done a lot more applying to companies I may have gotten a decent job. He was unemployed until he heard about Bitcoin 2017.

Steven Aluko:
"My finances were not in a good state when I started trading, so you could say bitcoin trading saved me. I have made enough money from trading bitcoin that I have been able to get married and can live comfortably without any debts.”
This is one example of someone using bitcoin in an unanticipated way to improve his life. And there are many other examples around the world, from Argentina to Iran.

Title: BTC will hit $100,000: The Novogratz prediction.
The founder of Galaxy Digital (crypto firm) slash investor said the price of Bitcoin will hit $100,000 this year.
Michael Novogratz, who in an interview with Bloomberg responded to Tesla recent Bitcoin investment predicts that every company in the U.S would invest in BTC this year due to fall in dollar.
You’re going to see every company in America do the same thing,” Novogratz said on Monday in an interview with Bloomberg Television. "Between corporations adding Bitcoin to treasury funds and the city of Miami also considering adding the cryptocurrency to its balance sheet.
You’re going to see every company in America do the same thing. It doesn’t have to be a lot. It’s the messaging that matters, you’re seeing the herd here, and it’s coming," he said.
“One of the things that connect Bitcoin, and Tesla and solar stocks and ESG investing is millennials and Gen Z, young people are buying into the future, and they see cryptocurrencies -- Bitcoin and other cryptos -- as their currencies,” he said.
“Now you got the biggest, the wealthiest man in the world and one of the biggest stories doing it,” said. Novogratz, a former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. trader and hedge fund manager with Fortress Investment Group. “You’ve got to think other CFOs and CEOs are saying, what should we be doing?”

Bitcoin breaks through into $51,214
On Tuesday, 16th of February, Michael Saylor, CEO of MicroStrategy Inc. announced that his Nasdaq-listed software firm plans to purchase more bitcoin.
He said the company plans to purchase $600 million in bitcoin. This helped Bitcoin climb above $49,000 on Tuesday. Today, February 17, the price of Bitcoin has reached $51,214 for the first time in history.
The Co-Founder and CEO of CryptoCompare, Charles Hayter, a leading cryptoassets market data provider, explained the reasons behind Bitcoin’s price surge:
“This ongoing tightening of supply driven by significant purchases by corporations eying the long-term view comes at a time where friction for institutional investors to gain exposure to digital assets is rapidly reducing, creating a perfect storm for Bitcoin price appreciation.
“The recent $1.5 billion investment in Bitcoin by Tesla for use as a treasury reserve asset has further legitimized the inflation hedge narrative and the ‘store of value’ use case for Bitcoin

Title: Bitcoin equals the value of gold.
The value of one bitcoin was equal to one kilogram of gold. In fact, yesterday it even surpassed it.
Yesterday, one gram of gold was worth $57, just as Bitcoin was worth $57,000.
Today, however, Bitcoin is retracing like the whole market and is now at around $53,000.
But the growth in recent days has also increased Bitcoin’s capitalization, which is now worth 1 trillion, a tenth of that of gold, which is worth 10 billion.
These numbers are enough to explain why Bitcoin is becoming increasingly accredited as a store of value.
Bitcoin vs gold: the word from the experts
Business Insider interviewed 10 experts and asked their opinions on the comparison between Bitcoin and gold.
On the side of gold supporters, there’s the opinion of David Rosenberg of Rosenberg Research, formerly of Merrill Lynch:
“My vote would be for gold because it has thousands of years of a historical record as a store of value, has one-fifth the volatility of bitcoin, and doesn’t face the same competition risk. The day that Queen Elizabeth trades in the five pounds of gold in her crown for crypto is the day I’ll shift course”.
Gold’s history vs Bitcoin’s volatility push most investors to choose the former. But not everyone thinks so. In fact, Anthony Pompliano, from Pomp Investment and Morgan Creek Digital Assets, takes the opposite view:
“Bitcoin is a 100x improvement over gold as a store of value. The world is realizing this and beginning to reprice digital currency in real-time. Although bitcoin has increased hundreds of percent in the last few months, it is likely to continue appreciating in US dollar terms over the coming years. I suspect that bitcoin’s market cap will surpass gold’s market cap by 2030. For this reason, I own no gold and have a material percent of my net worth invested in bitcoin”.
Then there is the middle ground, represented by Peter Cardillo, of Spartan Capital Securities LLC:
“Sooner or later, people are going to realise that the move in Bitcoin is more of a speculative move than of any real fundamental reason. There will be a place for Bitcoins, but I do not believe it is going to replace gold or paper currencies”.

Bitcoin's Price Surge: 2 Bitcoin Bear Signals Every Invest Must Know
Having broken through $50,000 ( ₦19,062,500.00) last week, Popular cryptocurrency Bitcoin has continued to attain new highs in market value
The cryptocurrency has risen more than 90% since the start of January, pushing its total market value above $1tn.
The recent surge has been influenced by Tesla and other big companies accepting Bitcoin as a payment gateway for customers.
While it's easy to get caught up in Bitcoin's Parabolic SAR, below are 3 Bitcoin Bear Signals every bitcoin investor must know
Let's dive in...
1. Depleting Bitcoin Trade Volume
On the weekly BTC/USD tradingview chart, we can see a decline in trading volume since an earlier price surge at $42,000 on Jan. 4, even though the price of bitcoin has risen by a further $16,000, give or take. This inconsistency between volume and price is known as a volume divergence and usually signals that fresh capital entering the market is drying up and buying momentum is on a decline.
Volume divergences often imply that bulls are flipping into holders or waiting for more certainty in the market before buying more bitcoin. In these instances, prices tend to push sideways and volatility drops.
2. March is approaching
According to market trends, March and September have consistently been the worst-performing month for bitcoin, with a mean average loss of 14.725% and 9.05% over the same time frame
While past performance may not guarantee future results, history strongly suggests there’s a seasonality to bitcoin market sentiment. This behavior could be attributed to the upcoming tax year on April 15 in the U.S. and traders selling bitcoin to cover their tax bills.

Bill Gates Champions His Own ‘Digital Money’ - But What Is It?
Microsoft cheiftain Bill Gates has separated himself from bitcoin (BTC) buying, dismissing fellow American entrepreneur Elon Musk’s own crypto moves.
In an interview with CNBC, Gates Stated...
“I do think moving money into a more digital form and getting transaction costs down, that’s something the Gates Foundation does in developing countries.”
However, what is that "digital money" Gates is talking about?
As regards the Gates Foundation, Gates’ and his wife Melinda’s charitable organization, the solution he has in mind involves the “development of pro-poor, digital payment systems.”
The foundation calls these “mechanisms by which individuals and businesses actually buy and sell. These systems can foster competition, drive innovation, and accelerate the development of digital financial products and services customized for the needs of low-income communities.”
