So this is likely encrypted with AES (military encryption)
We have just 2 modes cbc and ecb ....
And it only allows 128bit, 192 bit ,256 bit

So there are limited modes to test .... A simple google search on how to decrypt with openssl and password will show you this command

So you see, your public IP addresses can be used to determine your general location, so IPs from Nigeria and your ISP can be determined by any website you connect to . So take for instance a website owner wants to restrict people from Nigeria from accessing his website , all he had to do is to block all IP addresses originating from nigeria

It's as simple as that , I cna decide to block all IP address of MTN users , just have to determine the ISP with the IP and block it .... That way no one with the IP address from MTN will be able to access my app

It's used in big companies for security, probably they want just three people to be able to access a server remotely, they will only allow the IP address of those 3 people to connect

Exactly .... The IP address they allow has been censored ....it's easy to determine a country from IP addresses

So now to bypass these restrictions :one of the ways we do that is through VPNs

VPN service providers are like business owners that buys alot of IP address in different companies .

They have them in bulk .... Sometimes they do that by setting up servers in different companies .....

Let me explain this better , say I cHowTV wants to start a VPN company , I can buy servers (computers) all over .... Probably buy one in USA , germany, ghana , nigeria , and co ..... Each of these computers has an IP address (hypothetically ) .... Now a customer want to access a site in germany from nigeria , but the website doesn't allow IPs from Nigeria ....he can come to me as a client and ask access to my computer in Germany , now I can allow him to connect with my computer in germany which in turn connects to the site he wants access to

Now, the website will only see the IP address of the germany computer , not that of the person using it from nigeria
