Volkswagen has expanded its large-scale recall campaign: an additional 610,000 vehicles for the Chinese market have been added to the 2 million cars worldwide.
The recall affects the Volkswagen Golf, Touareg, Teramont, Teramont X, Viloran, and Lamando, as well as the Audi Q3 and Q6.
The reason is the potential corrosion of the steering mechanism mounting bolt due to moisture exposure. Its failure could lead to limited functionality or complete loss of steering control. All affected vehicles will have the potentially dangerous bolt replaced regardless of corrosion presence.
