Lekhana Sundari or Shasana Sundari. The name translates to "Beautiful Lady Writer"

This sculpture was sculpted in the year 1100 AD, and it is in Kamalishwara Temple, Jalasangvi, Bidar district.

It serves as a historical evidence that the Indian women were not discriminated from Education!

In addition to that, this sculpture also tells us that our women knew how to decorate themselves and they had a very developed sense of fashion!

But, we do have fake historians in India who claim that education and fashion came to India from west!

This stunningly beautiful Goddess Durga as Mahishasuramardini is from the inner wall of the Durga Temple, Aihole!

Even when she is slaying the demon Mahishasura, look at Her face (in the close-up shot) how beautiful and serene it is!

Several of Her arms are broken, but the beauty is totally intact!

This is a very unique one-handed Shiva Lingam that is believed to have blessed Adi Shankaracharya ji. This Shiva Lingam is enshrined at the Shankara Math in Thiruvidaimarudur, Tamil Nadu.

It is believed that a hand appeared from the Shiva Lingam, affirming Adi Shankaracharya’s philosophy of Advaita (non-dualism) by declaring “Satyam Advaitam”

Mahadev 🙏

This is a corridor of Ekambareswarar Temple, Kanchipuram.

Picture was taken around 7 am.

See how brilliantly the entire corridor is lit up with the natural light!

Can you believe the lighting is natural in the second picture?

This kind of lighting will be very expensive with modern lighting systems!

But, here it is the genius of the architect!

This beautiful sculpture from Tirukurungudi temple celebrates the bond between mother and child with elegance and beauty.

The mother stands firm yet compassionate, her calm presence offering both shelter and assurance to the child she carries.

The child’s relaxed posture reflects complete trust, transforming stone into a moment of living warmth.

Every curve, ornament, and fold are carefully restrained, allowing emotion to speak louder.

Perfect example of infusing life into the stone!
