Two sculptures of most detailed Saraswathi.
At Somnathpura, Saraswati appears in multiple niches because the Hoysala artists celebrated not only Vishnu forms but also Saraswathi the deity of knowledge, music, and divine arts.
The Hoysala sculptors were renowned for intricate detailing, which is clearly visible in the jewelry, crown, and the ornate makara-torana (arch) above her.
