The Nandi at the Ramappa Temple is celebrated as one of the most ornate and finely sculpted representations of Nandi.

Carved from a single block of stone, it displays remarkable polish and lifelike grace, with exquisitely detailed ornaments and folds of skin.

The craftsmanship reflects the artistic brilliance of the Kakatiya dynasty, known for its intricate temple sculptures.

Even today, the sculpture captivates visitors with its smooth finish and expressive realism, appearing almost alive from every angle.

Sri Sattanathar

Many people who visited Vaideeswaran koil would have missed to see Him!

Sattanathar is a fierce and unique manifestation of Shiva, especially worshipped in Tamil Nadu. He is depicted as having flayed the skin of a demon and wearing it, symbolizing the destruction of ego and evil.

This powerful form is prominently enshrined at the Sirkazhi Temple, where devotees revere him for protection and spiritual strength.

Despite his fearsome appearance, Sattanathar represents the ultimate compassion that removes negativity and grants inner transformation.

He can be seen at Vaideeswaran koil temple, just above the main Sanctum Sanctorum in a small niche, as you come around it!
