Nagastra, a UAV-based system, operates as an aerial ambush. It's called loitering munition because of its ability to hover above the target. It can fly at altitudes of over 4,500 meters, making it invisible to radar. It attacks in kamikaze mode, destroying both the target and itself. In addition to day-and-night surveillance cameras, the Loiter Munition is outfitted with a warhead capable of defeating soft skin targets. If the target is not detected or the mission is aborted, it can be returned for a soft landing with a parachute. Nagastra-l is the first indigenous weapon of its kind, capable of hovering in the air and striking when the target approaches.
