"Radio detection and ranging" is the abbreviation for radar. The gadget employs radio waves to measure the proximity, speed, and physical attributes of nearby objects. An item whose properties need to be determined is targeted by a signal from a transmitter (in meteorology, this could be a cloud). The item reflects a portion of the signal back to the device, where a receiver tracks and interprets it.
An often used use for this gadget is doppler radar. The shift in frequency of sound waves as they travel from their source in the direction of the listener is known as the Doppler effect. Doppler radars are used in meteorology to determine the speed and direction of motion of clouds by analyzing the changes in the frequency of radiation striking them caused by their relative motion.

India made the unprecedented decision to withdraw its High Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Verma and other top diplomats who were based in Canada. Stewart Ross Wheeler, the chargé d'affaires, was one of six Canadian diplomats expelled by India shortly after. The announcements were made just hours after the Canadian government designated the six Indian officials as "persons of interest" due to their suspected involvement in the British Columbia murder of pro-Khalistan activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June 2023.
New scams, such "digital arrest," when cybercriminals pose as government authorities to demand money, have emerged as a result of the increase in cybercrimes. Many wealthy and well-educated people have been affected by these frauds, which is why the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has warned about them and taken precautions.
A type of cybercrime known as "digital arrest" occurs when con artists pose as representatives of law enforcement organizations (such as the CBI, ED, police, etc.) and accuse the victim of engaging in major crimes like drug trafficking or money laundering. By making the victim remain on video calls while demanding money under the guise of avoiding actual arrest, they induce a fear psychosis and digitally "arrest" them.

World Food Day is October 16, 2024, and this year's topic is "right to foods for a better life and a better future." The subject emphasizes how crucial it is that everyone have access to reasonably priced, wholesome, and safe food. In order to protect this human right—which is necessary for healthy, productive lives free from hunger and malnutrition—the Government of India is working with Rome-based organizations, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, and the World Food Programme.
India's agricultural techniques are cited as an example of sustainability in the WWF's 2024 Living Planet Report. Surprisingly, by 2050, we would only need 0.84 of an Earth to support global food production if everyone adopted India's consumption patterns.
Because 71% of livable land is used for livestock grazing, the food system is to blame for habitat destruction.
In contrast to meals based on animals, the traditional Indian thali is primarily plant-based, focusing on grains, pulses, vegetables, and lentils. The Indian cuisine conserves natural resources, lessens greenhouse gas emissions, and lessens dependency on fossil fuels.
