2️⃣Sacks has a VC firm Craft Ventures which invests in Bitwise Asset Management, a major crypto index fund 💰

3️⃣Even though he sold all his crypto before taking office, he still has a stake in Bitwise.

4️⃣Guess what Bitwise’s biggest holdings are? BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, ADA. The exact same coins Trump named yesterday 😱

This raises serious questions about conflict of interest and a possible case of corruption

And just like that, the entire yesterday's pump was fully retraced a day later 😱

The commerce secretary Howard Lutnick is saying Trump will unveil a U.S. strategic Bitcoin reserve on Friday

Some crypto industry leaders will be invited to the event. You can see the list of approved guests in the attached picture, each person is associated with some coins 🔍

🪙 Coins like SOL, ADA, ONDO, AVAX, NEAR, BNB, XRP could go up a lot depending on what is said at the summit.

Trump is bringing crypto into politics. Some projects are now part of the conversation at the highest level. ETF applications are gaining attention, showing growing institutional interest 😮

👀 There’s also a focus on U.S.-based crypto, pushing for more local development. At the same time, Trump’s mentions could drive interest in certain projects.

❗️ But be careful, some of these holdings (like MOVE) were reportedly acquired through a deal where projects donated money to WLFI, and in return, WLFI bought their tokens. The deal structure included a 10% fee, making it more of a strategic swap rather than a direct investment based on fundamental analysis.

Trump himself is not managing these purchases. WLFI operates independently, and its managers decide on allocations. If a certain altcoin appears in their holdings, it doesn’t mean White House supports it or that it’s an urgent buy signal 😮

🔴White House Crypto Czar David Sacks says the reserve will be funded exclusively with Bitcoin seized in criminal and civil forfeiture cases, ensuring that taxpayers bear no financial burden.

🔴He previously noted that the U.S. lost over $17 billion in potential value by selling seized BTC prematurely.

🔴Secretary of the Treasury and Secretary of Commerce will oversee further policy development, with a focus on "budget-neutral acquisition" strategies for Bitcoin.

👉 TLDR: The BTC reserve is here, but the U.S. will not buy BTC, instead the U.S. government will simply not sell BTC it already owns and will acquire in the future.

As expected, the market is reacting negatively, as many people had expectations of the announcement that the U.S. will buy Bitcoin from the market 🤷‍♀️
