If you were in crypto in 2021, this cycle should feel very different. We still haven’t seen anything close to the old altcoin season. Not even remotely. No broad rallies, no sustained rotation, no feeling that “everything goes up, all the time, bear markets are mathematically impossible now” 🤣

The core reason is supply. It exploded. According to CoinGecko data, the number of dead tokens in 2025 is 4,476x higher than in 2021. Demand didn’t grow at anything close to that pace, so liquidity is being shredded across millions of assets.

🧠 I remember, even back then, everyone said “99% of tokens will fail.” Today that number is laughably optimistic. Entire operations exist just to launch, pump, and rug hundreds of tokens per day. That is the job of many people in crypto.

In this environment, old-style alt seasons don’t really work. A tiny handful of tokens absorb 90% of the demand. Everything else either underperforms forever or disappears within a week 💀

How to store money in a fully decentralized, anonymous, and unseizable way 🤑 Disclaimer: This post is for educational and informational discussion only. I do not endorse or encourage illegal activity, evasion of law enforcement, or misuse of financial tools…
Monero has quietly become one of the strongest performers in the market. XMR is up roughly 40% in the last week and more than 50% over the past 14 days 🔼

And here is why: On January 10, a victim lost over $280 million in BTC and LTC to a social engineering scam. The attacker immediately started converting the stolen funds into Monero and the buying pressure caused XMR pump.

🤔 The attacker had options. They could have used Zcash, Dash, Litecoin, or any other “privacy-adjacent” coin.

When the actual criminal, not just some random 'paranoid opsec fan', is moving hundreds of millions in stolen crypto, they need the most secure, privacy-first asset.

The fact that they chose XMR tells you more about the real competition between privacy coins than any whitepaper ever will 🤷‍♀️

In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and tariffs from Trump 😱

Trump argues Greenland is now a critical national security asset, claiming China and Russia want influence there and that only the U.S. can realistically secure it.

📈 To force the issue, he announced new tariffs on Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, UK, Netherlands, and Finland, starting at 10% on February 1, 2026 and rising to 25% on June 1. These tariffs will remain in place until the U.S. reaches a deal to fully buy Greenland.

The whole “we will fight the U.S. if needed” talk by EU politicians is mostly farce and psyop. Europe’s actual response so far amounts to one British officer, two Norwegian soldiers, and a three Swedish officers sent to Greenland. In the U.S. only about 8% of Americans support using military force.

There is no public appetite for conflict. Nobody really prepares for it. U.S. will simply buy Greenland and pay every resident their share, with estimates putting the price around $700 billion 💰

I also like how all the big, market-moving announcements by Trump keep dropping on Saturdays or late Fridays, right after U.S. stock trading stops. Crypto doesn’t get that pause. It trades 24/7 and reacts in real time, which makes weekends the most dangerous part of the week IMO. Stay sharp during these days

The Bank of England Is Being Asked to Prepare for Aliens 🛸

A former senior analyst at the Bank of England is warning that official confirmation of non-human intelligence would be a serious financial shock.

The concern is not aliens themselves, but confidence. Markets rely on shared assumptions about control, institutions, and how the world works. A sudden announcement that breaks those assumptions could trigger extreme volatility, bank runs, and panic 😨

What makes this notable is that senior government and intelligence figures have openly acknowledged unexplained activity near sensitive military sites, and previously classified files show governments quietly treating the issue as real.

🤔 I’m hearing more and more discussions about aliens as the next upcoming psyop tool. Unifying crises are useful for maintaining a state of exception during global emergencies.

Neurobiology of Trading Behavior 🧠

Most people reliably do the opposite of what markets reward. Buying feels hardest when it is statistically favorable, and selling feels hardest when risk is highest.

Markets reward behavior that feels wrong to the nervous system. Human brains evolved to survive physical threats and scarce resources. They are optimized to avoid losses and to press advantages when rewards feel available.

📈 Greed shows up during rising PnL. When gains are possible but not yet realized, dopamine increases and pushes traders to add size, trade more often, or loosen entry criteria. Confidence rises even though nothing about the chart changed. This is why many losses start after periods of good performance. Risk expands while the trader feels in control.

😱 Fear appears when price moves quickly against a position or during volatility spikes. The brain shifts toward damage control and short-term relief. Traders cut winners early, hesitate on valid entries, or stop executing altogether.

During larger losses, the fight or flight response takes over. Flight shows up as panic selling to immediately reduce stress. Fight shows up as holding positions past invalidation while waiting for relief or even DCAing to fight the market.

Both reactions bypass planned risk management. They only resolve emotional pressure. These reactions are predictable, which makes them manageable. Fixed sizing, predefined SLs, and personal trade limits exist to remove decisions at the exact moments the brain performs worst ❗️

This is how bot operators cheat in online poker and make tons of money 🃏

They run coordinated bot farms. Multiple bots sit at the same table and share their cards and game data outside the platform.

🤖 Instead of playing independently, they act as one system, avoiding each other and making decisions using information real humans (victims) never have. It’s one of the main reasons online poker is much tougher than it looks.

It’s illegal on every poker site and eventually gets caught, but until then these setups quietly drain real players who think they’re just running bad 🧠

So there is a new project ETHGAS that wants to airdrop its token to people who burned money on Ethereum gas fees 🤑

Sounds fair, until you realize one of the biggest NFT whales ever, Pranksy, spent about 627 ETH on gas and still got nothing. That’s roughly $2.4 million just to move bits around.

🫡 And most likely because of the silly social media tasks he didn't do. That's the current state of “airdrops,” which you have to register for and jump through hoops to get.

I remember how you could just open your wallet and find thousands of dollars in tokens sent to you, without ever knowing why. Ah, those were the days 😢

Looking at this Bitcoin chart, everything still revolves around that rising support from early 2024. Price has already tested it multiple times, and every bounce has been weaker than the last one 😐

📉 If this level breaks and we start trading below it, the downtrend will likely drag on longer than people expect.

That’s why I’m fine staying sidelined for now. I’d rather miss the first part of a move than get chopped up trying to long every bounce.

🐻 At the moment I’m leaning bearish for the next 2-3 months. I don’t really think the support holds, but I’d be glad to be wrong. When the market is trending up, almost anything works and it's easier to make money.

Well, but for now, $752.78 million worth of long positions were liquidated today, and even a slight recovery after Trump ruled out military action in Greenland did not help 🔽

10 Market Truths You Usually Learn Too Late 📈

It's difficult to express how important and life-saving these things are. I wish I had learned all this years ago at the beginning of my crypto journey.

All of this sounds obvious when you read it. Most people still need years, blown trades, lost money, and a lot of stress before it really sinks in 👇

🔴Cheap can always get cheaper.

🔴Expensive can always get more expensive.

🔴The trend matters more than your opinion.

🔴Markets can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent.

🔴Strength tends to lead to more strength, weakness tends to lead to more weakness.

🔴Losses compound faster than gains.

🔴Big drawdowns require unrealistic returns to recover.

🔴You don’t have to make it back the same way you lost it.

🔴Cash is a position.

🔴Not losing money is half the game.

I wrote about this in more detail in a new article on X 🗣

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao says Bitcoin could enter a supercycle this year 🕐

In crypto terms, a supercycle means price keeps moving higher for longer than anyone expects because something fundamental actually changed.

🔼 Adoption, regulation, infrastructure, macro. Not a fast hype pump, not a short bubble, but sustained upside that doesn’t reset on schedule.

So far, for many years Bitcoin has traded in pretty clean 4-year cycles. Roughly 3 years of upside, followed by 1 year where everything bleeds. If that pattern holds, 2026 should be the bear year.

If a supercycle shows up, that script breaks. Let’s see if this time is really different 🤔

What Metal Still Makes Sense to Long After the Precious Metals Run? ↗️

Precious metals have already repriced aggressively. Silver is up about 47% year to date, and gold is trading near $5k after roughly a 93% move over the past 12 months.

Price structure is steep and momentum driven, which makes fresh longs increasingly sensitive to pullbacks and volatility. That does not mean the trend is over, but the risk profile changes materially.

🥉 Copper sits in a different part of the cycle. It is less extended on price and tied directly to physical demand rather than monetary hedging. Consumption is driven by construction, power grids, electrification, and industrial expansion.

🤔 Global copper demand is roughly 30m tonnes per year, with only about 4m tonnes coming from recycling.

Maintaining even 3% global GDP growth requires sustained increases in primary supply. Existing mines are aging, ore grades are falling, and permitting timelines for new projects are long and uncertain.

Structural copper shortage will begin around 2027 and deepen through next decades. Supply growth struggles to keep pace even without accounting for electrification, data centers for AI, or renewable energy buildout ⚡️

Copper exposure is less about chasing a breakout and more about positioning ahead of a tightening physical market. This is my long-term thesis on copper, and I think this trade is still early.

ETFs on Metals and Their Types 🥇

If you think the price of steel will rise, you do not need to buy steel bars and store them in a garage. When it comes to metals like uranium, physical ownership is not even an option. ETFs exist to solve this access problem.

💸 Metals exchange traded funds give price exposure through financial markets instead of physical handling. They cover both industrial metals like copper, aluminum, and iron ore, and precious metals like gold and silver.

Demand drivers differ across metals. Industrial metals are tied to construction, manufacturing, and energy infrastructure. Precious metals combine industrial demand with investment demand as stores of value.

There are a few main types of metals ETFs:

⏺Precious metals ETFs, focused on gold, silver, platinum, or palladium

🟢Industrial metals ETFs, focused on metals like copper, aluminum, or iron ore

🟠Strategic and rare earth metals ETFs, focused on metals like lithium and rare earth elements

Exposure methods also differ. Some ETFs use futures contracts to track metal prices, which introduces roll mechanics and futures curve effects. Most metals ETFs instead hold shares of companies that mine or produce metals, adding equity and operational risk.

Two ETFs linked to the same metal can behave very differently ❗️

How to Long Copper 💸

Copper is difficult to access through physical ownership. Unlike gold, buying copper means dealing with bulk and storage. Around $1,300 of copper equals roughly 100 kilograms, which makes physical exposure impractical.

💰 Because of that, ETFs are the most common way to get exposure to such metals. There are 2 main types of copper ETFs:

⛏ Copper miners ETFs, which hold shares of companies that produce copper.

📈 Copper futures ETFs, which track copper prices using futures contracts.

Miner ETFs add equity-specific risks such as costs, leverage, and market sentiment. Futures ETFs track copper more directly but are affected by contract roll mechanics and the shape of the futures curve.

There are 3 main copper ETFs 👇

🟢Global X Copper Miners ETF – copper miners ETF

🟢United States Copper Index ETF – copper futures ETF

🟢iShares Copper and Metals Mining ETF – copper and metal ore mining ETF

Most global brokers support trading these ETFs and can be found in this post 🔗

How to Measure Asset Prices in Other Assets 🔍

💵 Most prices are quoted in USD by default. Stocks, metals, and crypto are usually discussed in dollar terms because it is familiar and liquid.

⚖️ Measuring one asset in units of another helps compare strength directly. It shows which asset is gaining purchasing power versus the other. This is useful for spotting underperformance, relative trends, and potential pair trades.

To do this, go to TradingView. In the search field for tickers, type the trading pair of the asset you want to measure, then add a "/", then the trading pair of the asset you want to measure it against. For both sides just use USD pairs.

👉 For example, to measure Bitcoin in gold, use BTCUSD/XAUUSD. This expresses Bitcoin’s price in ounces of gold. The chart shows whether Bitcoin is outperforming or underperforming gold over time. To measure Ethereum in BTC use ETHUSD/BTCUSD. And so on...

Check the attached chart. Bitcoin priced in gold is down about 51% since August 2025. That means gold gained purchasing power relative to Bitcoin over that period. Turns out a: long gold + short Bitcoin, was a perfect pair trade.

🤔 This method is commonly used to track assets priced in gold or BTC. It's often used to compare altcoins versus BTC or ETH. It shifts the focus from absolute price to relative performance.

📌 Save for later

Jim Cramer, the infamous counter-signal of Wall Street, says that he likes gold, but not silver 🤣

Meanwhile, Bitcoin is now down 79% priced against silver since its Jan 2025 all-time high.

🔼 The current run-up in precious metals is unprecedented and potentially signals monetary and currency concerns and safe-haven demand.

A short story about another brilliant trader from the US Congress 🤣

• Congressman Kevin Hern sits on the House Subcommittee on Health.

• He recently sold shares in UnitedHealth worth $500,000.

• Yesterday, the Trump administration proposed introducing fixed reimbursement rates for insurers under the Medicare programme 📉

• This news caused $UNH shares to fall by more than 21%.

😐 This kind of situation would get you fired immediately from any investment banking company, but not from Congress!

Earn $50 in a month with a $200 deposit 💸

MEXC right now has a good incentivized Earn pool for USAT (30 days only). It's a new stablecoin from Tether, so it's pretty safe. Step by step guide 👇

1️⃣Register on MEXC and complete KYC.

2️⃣Deposit 200 USDT to your account.

3️⃣Trade USDT to USAT stablecoin.

4️⃣Go to Earn page and deposit 200 USAT in pool to earn 300% APR. That's around 50 USAT in 30 days.

Of course, you can deposit more, but all USAT balance exceeding 200 tokens will only earn 20%, which is a much worse R/R if we take into an account the fact that we need to hold money on MEXC...

Big day across markets 🔼

🇺🇸The S&P 500 tagged 7,000 for the first time ever.

🥇 At the same time, gold is ripping. New highs almost every day, up about 31% YTD, trading above 5,500 and briefly touching 5.6k.

The biggest asset in the world by market cap is still acting like something is off...

The dollar helps explain part of it. The dollar index hit its lowest level in 4 years as markets price in Fed easing and quietly question US fiscal discipline and institutional strength.

🤷‍♀️ A weaker dollar mechanically pushes dollar-priced gold and stock market higher, whether anyone likes it or not.

Layer on inflation anxiety, stagflation talk, and massive deficits, and hard assets start looking less like a good hedge.

🤬 During today’s FOMC, Powell was asked about gold and brushed it off. Said the move isn’t of substantial importance and the Fed doesn’t react to any single asset.

Personally, I wouldn't buy gold or silver at the current price. I think the recent volatility is a sign that the price increase since December is mainly driven by FOMO.

Since 2000, TV prices are down 98%. Computer software and toys are down more than 73% 📉

📈 At the same time, housing, medical care, hospital services, and education prices exploded. These are not luxury items. These are the things people can’t opt out of.

Look at what all the red lines have in common. Heavy government involvement. Regulation, subsidies, guarantees, price insulation.

🍷 Now look at the blue lines. No one is in charge. No central planning. No protection. Just competition and scale. Even with a weaker dollar, they’re still cheaper than they were 26 years ago.

Whenever the government tries to 'protect' someone or make things cheaper, it always ends up costing you.
