BREAKING: 🇺🇸 FED SAYS STABLECOINS ARE HELPING OFFSET CHINA’S DECLINING TREASURY HOLDINGS
Stablecoin issuers have increased their U.S. Treasury holdings by around $200B over the past five years, offsetting more than 40% of the decline in China’s holdings.
And it gets more interesting.
The Fed says stablecoin demand for short term Treasuries could reach $400B by 2030 if the current trend continues.
Crypto is slowly becoming a new source of demand for U.S. government debt.
