Chronicles of Troubled Times: prologue to WWIII
Hardware Firewall: Lack of Digital Presence
❗️🇺🇸 🇨🇳 📵 Trump's delegation traveled to China with disposable phones and temporary laptops issued by the government, motivated by fears of surveillance from Beijing.
Even phone charging is considered a "security issue."
"Contacts disappear. Cloud access is limited. Officials operate for days without their normal digital footprint," — writes FOX News
The White House doesn't comment on the situation.
Almost paranoid precautionary measures have created a surprisingly analog environment for the presidential delegation, where paper documents are now common, access to digital technologies is limited, and assistants, accustomed to constant connectivity, work via closed, strictly controlled channels.
➡️ What this means:
It seems the digital age has become too transparent even for those who created it. The CEOs of the planet are trying to manually return to the 90s to maintain control over information, at least for the duration of key agreements of "Yalta 2:0".

Almost paranoid precautionary measures have created a surprisingly analog environment for the presidential delegation, where paper documents are now common, access to digital technologies is limited, and assistants, accustomed to constant connectivity, work via closed, strictly controlled channels.
Usually, even on the most sensitive visits to China, high-ranking officials bring secure devices (specialized BlackBerry, hardened laptops, etc.), but they do not switch completely to analog mode with disposable phones, temporary laptops, and paper documents.
FOX News describes a classic "air-gapped" setup on steroids:
• No access to familiar cloud services.
• Contacts disappear.
• Constant digital hygiene at the level of paranoia.
• Assistants work via closed channels and on paper.
They aren't afraid the Chinese will eavesdrop. They are afraid that information will leak out.
This is fear of betrayal and uncontrolled dissemination of information.
When the "Root-user" meeting takes place in an analog format, it means the "Admin Password" of current reality is changing right now.
When Tim Cook leaves his iPhone behind, he officially admits: secure software does not exist.
Such measures are taken when discussing topics containing information that even the American media and Congress should not know (things related to technologies/agreements that significantly change the balance of power — space, AI, new types of weapons, unknown risks).
It seems the digital age has become too transparent even for those who created it. The CEOs of the planet are trying to manually return to the 90s to maintain control over information, at least for the duration of key agreements of "Yalta 2:0".

This is how China Daily covers the visit: the front page features a massive photo of Xi Jinping meeting Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan. Meanwhile, a tiny blurb in the corner mentions the arrival of the U.S. delegation "valued" at $11.5 trillion.
The CCP’s propaganda video released just before Trump’s arrival was anything but a message of peace. It was a cold, ambiguous reminder of the past—and who really won.
Chinese netizens were quick to mock the optics: "The entire convoy — not a single electric vehicle!" A fossil-fueled relic parading through a city of the future.
• The Taiwan Ultimatum: Xi Jinping warned Trump that the U.S. and China could "enter into conflict" if the Taiwan issue is mishandled (Xinhua).
• The Iran Trap: According to confidential U.S. intelligence, China is reaping strategic, diplomatic, and military benefits from the war in Iran, while the U.S. continues to bleed resources (WP).
• The Missile Surge: Last year, China ramped up missile production to rates not seen since 2013 (Bloomberg).
• The Arsenal: Per 2024 Pentagon data, China now possesses at least 3,150 ballistic missiles and 300 ground-launched cruise missiles—a 147% and 50% increase, respectively, compared to 2015 levels.
The Quotes:
"You are a great leader. I say it to everybody, that you are a great leader. Sometimes people don’t like me saying it, but I say it anyway because it’s true.
I only say the truth."
If they change, China will be rewarded.
If they don’t, they'll be punished.
Xi expressed "polite interest" in buying more U.S. oil and soybeans, agreed that Iran shouldn't have nukes, and "graciously" allowed U.S. tech firms to expand their presence in the Chinese market.
Bottom line: This looks like a total disaster. The only people who seem genuinely satisfied with the trip are Elon Musk and Tim Cook.
