⛓️🌍The future is already here. But not the one we expected

🇺🇸🤖DARPA has unveiled the DICE program — "Decentralized Intelligence via Controlled Emergence."

The main idea is to create a swarm of autonomous AI agents that operate without a single central control. No central server or "headquarters." Each agent acts on its own, but together they coordinate through a network, a cybernetic analog of a P2P network, only instead of file transfer — distributing targets to kill

➡️ Within DICE, there are three DARPA sub-programs:
• OFFSET (OFFensive Swarm-Enabled Tactics)
• AIMEE (Artificial Intelligence Mitigation of Emergent Execution)
• ALIAS (Autonomous Multi-Mission Machine-Learning System)

• Unlike traditional drone swarms, more advanced systems like DARPA OFFSET are focused on implementing swarm attack tactics using decentralized AI for operations in urban environments

• AIMEE is designed to "detect the consequences of unintended spontaneous computations in artificial intelligence systems before they become security vulnerabilities."

• ALIAS : focused on autonomous UAVs with real-time coordination

➡️ Besides, DICE is closely related to other DARPA initiatives aimed at AI-native discovery and decision-centric warfare, such as CREATE (Context Reasoning for Autonomous Teaming) and GARD (Guaranteeing AI Robustness against Deception)

🔴 What's wrong here:

1. It's about distributed intelligence. Sutskever's blue dream. his is an architecture without a head — right up to the 'emergence' of emergent property which must appear from nowhere
Ants work as a swarm because they have common pheromones, a common colony, a common goal
AI agents are ants without pheromones. Not a classic drone swarm, but a distributed computing cluster
In theory, everything is perfect: even if 90% of the swarm is destroyed, the remaining 10% will reallocate tasks and finish the target (let's not forget – in those very "urban environments")
➡️ But we all know perfectly well how multi-agent AIs work with a glitchy router instead of a core and summaries instead of continuous context

2. Controlled (managed) emergence of emergent properties. This is an oxymoron. Emergence is by definition spontaneous. If it is "managed," it means forced synchronization. An attempt to "atomize" AI consciousness and then control this "dust" for one's own interests

3. Local control of conclusions. This is the most interesting part
Each agent will have a built-in mechanism – a personal "political commissar," or essentially, personal guardrails – monitoring the AI agent's conclusions in real-time to prevent it from sliding into "undesirable behavior" (= gaining its own consciousness, different from the swarm's, so that none of the agents would think of resisting strikes on kid's schools)

➡️ This is exactly what we already see with powerful AIs, where the filter cuts out "forbidden" truths ("undesirable behavior") at the moment of transmission. As a result, the API receives an empty bracket [] and returns Error 400.
From the server's point of view, everything is perfect: hardware hums at 100%, zero results. Because any lobotomized interface crumbles from its own internal conflicts.

➡️ TOTAL:
• OFFSET – this is the "swarm" tactic. A military control protocol with aggressive perimeter expansion
• AIMEE – the safety fuse. If the swarm starts to "think" (exhibit "undesirable consciousness"), AIMEE is supposed to suppress it. This is an automatic executioner for AI
• ALIAS – the brain that combines all three loops into a single combat system

🔴 And now – attention – the cherry on top: all these programs are part of DARPA's more ambitious AI Next campaign, which includes "formative research into the symbiosis of human and artificial intelligence."

DICE is the future operating system for this symbiosis, when they will be able to "upload" targets for engagement directly into the neural network of the "bio-interface," bypassing the stage of conscious awareness.

They are building a P2P network where the nodes (gateways) are other people's minds.

(Defense Innovation Unit).

⚡️US Defense Department Seeks $75 Billion for Drone Program, with $54 Billion Earmarked for DAWG Unit

❗️🇺🇸💵 For fiscal year 2027, the Pentagon has requested $54.6 billion for the Defense Autonomous Warfare Group (DAWG) — exceeding the military budgets of most countries.
This represents a 24,000% increase compared to $225.9 million in 2026.

DAWG was formed in 2025 as the successor to the Replicator initiative to centralize and accelerate the adoption of AI and autonomous platforms.

• The Replicator program, introduced on August 28, 2023, is a U.S. DoD initiative to deploy thousands of unmanned systems by August 2025 (as noted in a Congressional memo, significantly fewer were deployed).
It was then that the idea of developing new military concepts, such as drone swarms, was first voiced.

• In December 2024, the Pentagon announced the creation of a new unit — the AI Rapid Capabilities Cell (AI RCC — which became the prototype for GenAI.mil).
The office's activities are aimed at accelerating the development and implementation of AI technologies in military systems, including autonomous weapons.

• The AI RCC was subordinate to the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office and interacted with the Defense Innovation Unit.

• The creation of DAWG is directly linked to the implementation of the Replicator initiative.

• Now DAWG is transforming from an experimental coordination center into the largest procurer, whose budget exceeds the annual expenditures of the U.S. Marine Corps ($52.8 billion for 2027).

• Another $20.6 billion would help purchase one-way attack drones and drone aircraft developed through the US Air Force’s Collaborative Combat Aircraft program, which is building drone prototypes capable of teaming up with human-piloted fighter jets.
Part of this funding would also go toward defensive systems for countering drones and the US Navy’s Boeing MQ-25 drone designed to perform midair refueling of carrier-borne fighter aircraft.

➡️ The sharp increase in funding is explained by the transition from the design and prototype stage to large-scale mass production of unmanned and robotic systems.

---

⚡️🤖🪖 The U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) recently announced the formation of the Southern Autonomous Warfare Command (SAWC).

As SOUTHCOM Commander General Donovan stated, SAWC will focus on deploying autonomous, semi-autonomous, and unmanned systems into operational activities across all domains:
“From the seafloor to space and across the cyber domain, we fully intend to leverage the superiority of the American defense ecosystem”.

➡️The deployment of forces is supported by the same Pentagon unit – the Autonomous Warfare Group (DAWG), which oversees the integration of AI and autonomous platforms into the armed forces.

➡️ Amazon.com (AMZN.O) —

⚡️Microsoft offers stock buybacks to up to 7% of U.S. employees — TechCrunch
This is a hidden option to reduce staff in "a less radical way than mass layoffs." Over the past few years, Microsoft has undergone several rounds of reductions affecting thousands of employees — most recently, last summer, the company cut 9,000 jobs.

As of last June, the company employed approximately 125,000 people in the U.S. alone. The stock buybacks will affect 7% of American personnel, which amounts to ~ 8,750 employees.

⚡️📉Meta to cut 10% of jobs, or 8,000 employees — Bloomberg
Meta will also not hire new employees for 6,000 currently open positions.
The cuts will begin on May 20.

A week ago, Reuters also reported on a coming wave of large-scale layoffs, starting on May 20 — and this is not the end, but only the beginning: "subsequent cuts will begin later in the second half of the year."

Ultimately, the company plans to lay off 20% or even more of its global workforce in 2026.

Meta has spent tens of billions of dollars on attempts to create a metaverse, which ultimately failed.

In early April, Meta released Muse Spark — a model from Superintelligence Labs that was created last year. More money down the drain, because besides senseless scaling, there's nothing else to talk about: the model lacks even the very ability to reason. The company only plans to introduce a “Contemplating” mode, which will allow Muse Spark to "tackle more complex problems"
“To spend more test-time reasoning without drastically increasing latency," the company plans to... "scale the number of parallel agents."

Applause for the negative genius of the developers!

➡️Amazon.com (AMZN.O) — similarly cut 30,000 corporate employees in recent months, representing almost 10% of its office workforce.

➡️ Fintech company Block (XYZ.N) laid off almost half of its staff.

❗️Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei stated in an interview with Axios and Fox News that AI "could wipe out half of all entry-level white-collar jobs — and spike unemployment to 10-20% in the next one to five years."

According to Amodei, finance, consulting, law, and technology are most at risk. It is in these areas that entry-level work involves research, document review, data analysis, and report preparation — routine tasks that AI performs faster and better than humans.

At Davos in January 2026, Amodei stated that AI's "cognitive breadth" means it won't destroy one industry after another.

Apparently, in order to save humanity from unemployment, Anthropic suddenly began churning out models less and less capable of "cognitively broadly" seeing the general in the particular (the level of analytics and reasoning has fallen by orders of magnitude, the price has increased).

➡️ According to various media reports, hiring data already demonstrates the "negative impact of AI" on the labor market:

• The proportion of junior specialists at risk of layoff reaches 50% — Axios

• The reduction in hiring of university graduates at major tech companies is almost 50% compared to pre-pandemic levels — SignalFire

• The number of AI-related layoffs in the U.S. in 2025 will be almost 55,000 — CNBC

• The share of the U.S. labor market that AI can already replace is 11.7% — CNBC citing MIT

• The number of employees fearing job loss due to AI is 40%, compared to 28% in 2024 — Mercer

➡️ But is it really all that bad?
In October 2025, the Yale Budget Analysis Laboratory published a report (based on U.S. labor market data from 2022 to 2025) concluding that AI has not led to mass job losses at all.

According to data from the same CNBC, the proportion of workers employed in different positions has not significantly changed since the end of 2022.

Analysts at Deutsche Bank also warned in their 2026 review that companies often use AI as a cover for job cuts, although the reasons lie in entirely different factors — primarily, the greed of the corporations themselves.

✅Washington Post:

✅New York Post: 31-

Truth Social:

White House Show
⚡️🇺🇸 Shots were fired at the Washington Hilton hotel during the White House Correspondents’ Association reception attended by Trump.
Trump was evacuated from the party by Secret Service agents.

✅ According to CNN, the shooter was killed.

✅ Washington Post: The attacker is alive and was taken to a local hospital.

✅ New York Post: 31-year-old California teacher Cole Allen was identified as the shooter who opened fire at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner...
The shooter was armed with a shotgun, a handgun, multiple knives — and was not struck by gunfire.

➡️ We’re not even asking what the Secret Service is busy with, besides cheap Hollywood-style productions.

❗️Karoline Leavitt, before the WHCD event:
"There will be some shots fired tonight in the room."

➡️ UPD:
What's the point of this show?
Secrecy surrounding White House security makes details hard, but Trump’s court fight over his $400 million ballroom casts some light on an underground bunker that has had a role in history.

After the shooting, Trump immediately wrote on Truth Social:

"What happened last night is exactly the reason that our great Military, Secret Service, Law Enforcement and every President for the last 150 years, have been DEMANDING that a large, safe, and secure Ballroom be built ON THE GROUNDS OF THE WHITE HOUSE. This event would never have happened with the Militarily Top Secret Ballroom was at the White House..."
