We've been married for eight years and have two children. Until recently, I thought we had an ordinary marriage with the usual disagreements. A few weeks ago, I discovered that my wife had installed hidden cameras in our living room. Even more shocking, I found another in our bedroom. I confronted her, expecting her to apologise or at least understand why I was uncomfortable, but she did not. She told me the cameras were necessary for our security because she believes we need protection from "spiritual intruders." She also said they would help ensure neither of us is being unfaithful. Since then, I no longer feel comfortable in my own home. I keep wondering when I am being watched or recorded, and I've started walking on eggshells around her. Our bedroom, which should be a private space for us as a couple, now feels like a surveillance room. I understand the need for security and trust in marriage, but secretly recording your spouse in the bedroom feels like a serious invasion of privacy. Am I being paranoid, or has my wife crossed a line?
