🧠 LET’S UNDERSTAND EPILEPSY
Because awareness begins with knowledge.
Epilepsy is a neurological disorder characterized by recurrent, unprovoked seizures caused by abnormal electrical activity in the brain.
Seizures can appear in different forms, including involuntary movements and convulsions, staring episodes, temporary loss of awareness, or brief changes in sensations and behavior.
What is important to know?
Epilepsy is NOT contagious.
Not every seizure means a person has epilepsy.
Epilepsy does NOT mean intellectual disability.
Many people with epilepsy can achieve good seizure control with appropriate treatment and medical follow-up.
💜 Don’t judge what you don’t understand. Learn, understand, and spread awareness.
