LOOKING TO TRANSFER MEGA LARGE FILES URL TO A CLOUD OR ANYTHING - help
Content:
I have got a link worth of 2tb of files on a mega, I want to keep access to them so if the owner of the link deletes the link/access i still have access to all the files in there. How can I do this without downloading them all. I'm not looking to pay. I dont want to download them all as i dont have storage for it anyways on my pc as well. My only solution is to store them online but how; on internet network cloud or another software etc, wtvr it takes.
Isnt there a cloud way. Or a way to upload it to your network spf dns cloud or whatever its called? If so is there a limit to the storage allowed on my network thing? And how can i transfer directly from the mega to the server. (something like pasting in the mega link url somewhere?)
I've heard of rclone, but can it help me with this without downloading the files on the url? if so how pls help, or give me alternative solutions.
Thank you!

Best connection protocol for internal 10G network? (with crypt)

Hello, I'm planning to run three Proxmox LXCs in a trusted 10G LAN.
One will serve the files from a HDD pool while the others will read and write. The cache will be about 500GB (SSD) for each consumers, and the target files will be smaller than 1GB each. The whole pool will be 10+TB in size. Lastly, the consumers will connect it via rsync crypt by default.
My question is, what would be the best connection protocol (ftp, sftp, webdav, nfs, smb, ...) for this use case.
I've only used NFS for this purpose until recently, but as I had to change the configuration of my whole homelab system recently, I thought it was time to investigate.

rclone ProtonDrive Remote Help
Content:
Greetings all - I'm somewhat new to linux and this is my first time playing around with rclone. I have it installed but I am trying to configure the remote for ProtonDrive.
Following the steps on https://rclone.org/protondrive/ I get to the point where it wants me to select a provider but I don't see Proton Drive listed in my terminal, and I'm not understanding what the guide says, pasted below. Nothing I try to type in works - what am I missing??
Choose a number from below, or type in your own value
[snip] XX / Proton Drive "Proton Drive" [snip]

empty dirs not wanted
Content: with version 1.66 metadata is supported on onedrive. but i don't want it ;)
my case: is have 14 days of surveilance videos on my nas. i only want to backup the last hour to onedrive. i do this with a copy --max-age=1h / delete --min-age=1h / rmdirs
but the copy creates empty dirs with metadata and rmdirs removes the empty dirs
with 1.62 the empty dirs where not created.
is there a flag to prevent the creation of the empty dirs We are DataHoardingFreaks. A @roadtopetabyte project
