a major hack happened today.

Bitget confirmed that around $351.6m in assets were affected after unauthorized transfers from some hot wallets.

most of the stolen assets have been swapped and bridged, including ETH XRP BNB AVAX and TRX.

the good news: Bitget says its cold wallets remain secure, and the $464m+ User Protection Fund covers the full loss, so user funds are protected.

what’s crazy is watching the stolen funds move across chains while being swapped and bridged.

users are asking Circle to help with stolen funds that are bridging on USDC.

there are also rumors this could be connected to the same group behind the $1.5b Bybit hack, but that’s not confirmed yet.

the chart looks even more interesting now.
