Srinivasa Ramanujan Department of Mathematics and Center for Vedic Mathematical Studies are jointly organizing an international workshop during the period 14 September to 15 September 2020. This workshop will be free and open for participants from all over the world. This workshop will introduce researchers, students, young teaching personnel and scientists globally to various analytical aspects of the geometry of fractions by Ramanujan and his successors. Continued fractions play a central role in analytic number theory by providing the best rational approximation for real numbers. Applications of this subject can be seen in harmonics, electric networks, geometry of numbers, complex analysis, numerical analysis, dynamical systems, music, calendars and gears etc.
