Ganoderma Lucidum
In Japan the
Ganodermataceae Family is known as Reishi
In China its known as Lingzhi
In Latin language Lucidius means shinny referring to the
varnished appearance of the surface of the mushroom.
Now there are 2 capsule form products in DXN :
Ganoderma Mycelium
( Ganocelium = GL ) its the baby mushroom harvested at 2 weeks to one month of age. It consists of higher percentage of the mycelia part of the mushroom ( growing under the ground ) than the fruit body ( less amount ) which grows above the surface.
Mycelia has much higher therapeutic properties than than fruit body.
Ganoderma
( Reishi Gano = RG ) is the adult mushroom harvested at 3 months of age. Its the red fruit body of the mushroom growing above the ground.
It consists of less amount of mycelia than GL
Powder Forms that we know are:
Mycovita : The amount of mycelia is 7.2 grams while the fruit body is 4.8 grams.
Reishi : It consists of a combination of mycelia ( less amount ) and the fruit body ( higher amount ) but the percentages are not listed.
