The 70–90% drawdowns are frustrating, no doubt. But $SPSC remains inevitable.
What’s sad is the noise and drama around it, especially considering that the CTO leads are genuinely some of the best people in the space. I fully understand and support their decision to dump their bags, but the SPSC thesis itself hasn’t changed. It still stands out as one of the most asymmetric bets in the Solana ecosystem.
Whenever emotions start creeping in and you feel the urge to dump your bags, pause and ask yourself a few simple questions:
1. Has the thesis actually played out?
If no, why not? And more importantly, can the reason it hasn’t played out be fixed?
If yes, you hold.
If no, you exit immediately.
For me, the key question is whether the Bonk problem can be fixed. My answer is yes, and I think it will eventually be. I dumped my Startup bags the minute I concluded that the Believe problem was never going to be fixed. Pasternak was a Web2 outsider who came in to extract.

, on the other hand, is one of us and isn’t going anywhere. Bonk may be trailing Pumpfun right now, but it’s far from dead. Sentiment on CT flips in a heartbeat. All it takes is one Bonk coin ripping to new highs for a full Bonk season round two. We have seen this exact movie with Bags, Believe, and others.
2. What’s the downside from here?
Is it minimal?
Can a memecoin that’s strategically added to the reserves of a roughly $30bn organization go to zero? Possible, but highly unlikely.
3. Fast-forward a few months from now.
Would this meme trade meaningfully lower or substantially higher than current levels?
I think the answer is pretty obvious.
Once WLFI ships its app, likely hits around $10bn TVL, and inevitably captures the spotlight, attention will be on SPSC and 1coin. Attention drives volumes and volumes drive prices.
SPSC was added in honor of one of its co-founders. Let’s be clear. Chase authorized WLFI to add SPSC to its reserves, and the team did so without hesitation. Chase loves the meme, has influence over the reserves, and could make things get very silly if he wanted to but has strategically chosen to take his time which I perfectly understand. It’s almost never a wise decision to unleash all your support without first surrounding yourself with a strong, delusional community doing all the noisemaking.
My honest take? The community simply needs to get louder. Keep bull posting. Keep the energy positive. WLFI sees what’s going on, and isn’t ignoring us. Everything is strategic. Bagwork with the assumption that nobody is coming to save us. If there’s ever going to be any form of liquidity support (which I earnestly pray for) there needs to be a solid, noisy, delusional base underneath it for liquidity support to have the most impact.
And finally, always remember that with memecoins, there are months where nothing happens and there are days where months happen. I am seasoned enough to have witnessed several $3m- $500m+ rip that took only weeks to occur after long periods of consolidation. A roughly $30bn organization that rewarded users with $40m just last week without blinking isn’t one to underestimate.
