Africa Prosperity Network Convenes High-Level Webinar on Ghana’s 69th Independence: What Will Africa Deliver by 2028?
On 6 March 1957, Kwame Nkrumah declared Ghana free and reminded the world that Ghana’s independence would only be meaningful when it was linked to the total liberation of Africa.
Sixty-nine years later, that work remains unfinished.
To mark Ghana’s 69th Independence Anniversary, the Africa Prosperity Network (APN) is convening a high-level webinar titled “Ghana @ 69: From Africa’s Independence to Integration.” The conversation comes at a critical moment as 2028 approaches, the deadline set under the Abuja Treaty for key stages of Africa’s economic union.
The central question is simple but urgent: What will Africa deliver by 2028?
The dialogue will bring together influential voices shaping Africa’s integration journey, including:
• Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, former Chairperson of the African Union Commission and Advisory Council Chairperson of the Africa Prosperity Network
• Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, Founder and Executive Chairman of the Africa Prosperity Network
• Samia Nkrumah, politician, diplomat, and pan-African advocate
• Ras Mubarak, politician and journalist known for his strong pan-African voice
• Ambassador Ayanda Ngwane, AU Agenda 2063 Ambassador and pan-African media executive
• Michael Owusu Addo (Sarkodie), award-winning rapper and entrepreneur
• Livingstone Etse Satekla (Stonebwoy), internationally acclaimed Afro-Dancehall artist
This conversation will go beyond reflection. It will examine the realities of African integration today, from persistent trade barriers to the slow ratification of the Free Movement Protocol, and what must be done in the next 24 months.
The webinar will also produce a 2028 Delivery Scorecard, outlining the practical steps needed to accelerate Africa’s economic integration.
As Nkrumah warned decades ago, the choice remains the same: unite or perish.
Register to attend:

I recently had a conversation with Jerry Justice, a student at IPMC University College, and it was refreshing to hear how intentional he has been about building his future in technology.
Jerry shared that after high school he knew he wanted to venture into the IT space. The question for him was where he could gain the kind of practical skills that would prepare him for the real world. His choice was clear. He enrolled at IPMC University College.
Listening to him speak about his experience was impressive. From hands on training to working on real projects, he spoke about the exposure he is getting and how it is helping him grow both technically and professionally.
What stood out most was his confidence about the future. Jerry believes that with the right training and continuous learning, young people can position themselves to solve real problems through technology.
Conversations like this remind me that when students find the right environment to learn and experiment, their potential becomes limitless.
Jerry Justice is certainly one to watch.

I recently had the opportunity to experience the service of Tutu Luxury, and I must say it completely changed how I think about moving around the city on important workdays.
In corporate life, timing, calmness, and reliability matter more than we often admit. When you are moving between meetings, client engagements, and boardroom sessions, the last thing you want is stress from transportation.
What stood out to me about Tutu Luxury was the structure behind the service. Professional drivers, well maintained vehicles, punctuality, and a level of etiquette that aligns with the expectations of business environments.
It is the kind of service that allows you to arrive composed, focused, and ready for the work ahead.
If your work involves meetings, clients, partners, or executives, this is definitely a service worth considering.

Choosing a career path can feel confusing, but sometimes one good conversation can change everything.
I recently spoke with a counsellor at IPMC, one of the leading IT schools in Ghana, and one thing stood out: your career is not just about what you studied, it is about the skills you are willing to build and grow.
Instead of chasing pressure or trends, focus on what you are curious about and where you can keep improving. In today’s world, especially in tech, learning and adapting matter more than anything else.
If you are unsure, get guidance and explore your options. The right environment can make all the difference.

Many Ghanaian businesses are ready to export, but access to trade finance remains a major barrier.
A new initiative under the 24-Hour Economy, the Neofingo Protocol, is being introduced to address this by connecting SMEs to a UK–Ghana digital trade finance corridor.
For business owners, exporters, and traders looking to scale beyond borders, this opens up a new conversation around access to funding and international markets.
A stakeholder consultation is scheduled to engage businesses and outline how this system will work.

I spent time with students on the IPMC campus, and one thing stood out clearly, everyone’s journey is different, but the experience is working.
For many of them, it is the support system. The lecturers are accessible and there is a structure that helps you stay on track.
For others, it is the flexibility. The ability to work and study at the same time without feeling overwhelmed is what makes it possible. You do not have to pause your life to upgrade your skills.
That balance is what makes a real difference.
If you have been thinking about advancing your skills in IT or starting a new path, this might be worth exploring.
