Smart Contract Is Your Guardian! ✨

And if you still feel puzzled about what exactly a smart contract does, we’re here to solve this issue and explain to you every detail:

🔘 Creating a pool
The contract transmits pool info: borrower, amount, period. We create a new pool contract with defined terms (amount, interest rate, period). The contract is immutable and public. It also sets rules like the maximum Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratio (e.g., 50%), meaning the required collateral must be worth double the loan.

🔘 Funding
You, as an investor, send funds to the one smart contract (fundraiser: 0xf435A133D6cDCb81061F18a4763560f9931DB57D), which stores them until the period ends. The contract holds these funds in escrow.

🔘 Collateral Locking
As you already know, every loan on our platform is backed by real collateral (e.g., machinery, vehicles), and before a project is listed, the borrower’s collateral is professionally appraised. This independently verified value is then recorded on the blockchain.

🔘 Loan Disbursement
Once the pool is fully funded and collateral is securely locked and verified, the contract automatically releases the loan amount to the borrower. This is a single, immutable transaction.

🔘 Repayment
The borrower sends repayment (principal + interest) to the contract. The contract automatically calculates accrued interest down to the second, distributes a portion as protocol fees, and upon full repayment, unlocks the collateral for the borrower to withdraw.

🔘 Withdrawal of Earnings
Lenders can call a withdraw function at any time after repayment. The contract automatically calculates their share of the principal + interest (minus fees) and transfers it. This is permissionless and does not require our platform to act.

🔘 Risk Management. 24/7 Monitoring
The contract constantly monitors the repayment schedule, and investor activity—everything you can see on a project’s page. You can check all addresses that put money into a specific pool and see the exact addresses that received repayments.

That’s quite a read, but our main goal here was to explain everything to you, so you understand how the smart contract works on 8lends.

❗️ Remember: the smart contract is your main guard, and you need to know how it works before making any investment!

Why People Don’t Trust P2P Lending 🤨

Because many platforms promise 18–25% APR, and then disappear, blaming “unexpected circumstances.”

To avoid scams like this, you need to ask at least four questions before investing:

🔘 What’s the source of income? How does the platform make money?

🔘 Is the company audited? Who makes credit decisions, and who takes responsibility if things go south?

🔘 Is there real collateral or a clear legal structure?

🔘 What happens if the platform runs into losses or financial stress?

❗️ Red flags to avoid:

🔘 “Guaranteed returns.” — Run. Away.

🔘 No data on defaults or how the platform handles them.

🔘 No clear explanation of how the platform works.
For example, on our platform, you can open a project page and see full details about the collateral. We also explain what happens to that collateral in case of default. This should be standard for every P2P platform.

🔘 A platform presents P2P lending as a deposit with higher returns, without saying a word about risks.

P2P lending without capital protection is a casino.

That said, skepticism can also go too far:

🔘 When people assume all P2P lending is a scam, just like they assume about crypto.

🔘 When someone wants returns higher than a bank deposit, but isn’t ready to accept the risks.

🔘 When someone refuses to look into how a platform works and gives up before doing any real analysis.

A mature approach is don’t believe in magic and fairy tales.

🤩 Analyze how the platform works, its legal structure, sources of income, core mechanics, and how it manages risk.

Collateral Is on Guard of Your Money! ✨

Every business listed on our platform must provide collateral. Why? Because it’s one of the key security layers that protects your money.

That’s why it’s important to understand how it works 👇

🔘 After we complete our checks, the borrower provides 70-100% of the loan amount as collateral. Then, our parent company Maclear AG fix this collateral on their side.

Maclear AG is a member of SRO PolyReg and is authorized to act as a financial intermediary under AMLA.

🔘 The collateral value is assessed with future resale in mind. We assume upfront that the selling price will be lower than the original purchase price.

🔘 In case of a default, when a borrower fails to pay interest or principal on time, or breaks other contract terms, we sell the collateral, and the proceeds are returned to investors.

This means that even in a default scenario, investors don’t lose everything and, in many cases, recover their full principal.

So even if a default happens, you don’t lose everything. Collateral adds an extra layer of protection.

We also avoid putting unnecessary pressure on businesses. For that reason, loans are issued in stages 👇

🔘 Example: a company needs $750,000

🔘 This amount is split into multiple stages. Each stage may raise $18k-$36k, depending on the agreement.

🔘 Once a stage is funded, it appears in the Payments section. At the end of the term, the full principal is repaid to investors.

This way, companies feel less pressure, which makes repayment easier and lowers default risk.

DYOR before investing.
We publish all the information on company page.

Vim Brings You Closer to Success! 🥇

Ever noticed how successful people seem full of energy?

People who manage businesses, teams, and money are often focused, fast, and mentally sharp. They do more because of energy.

In many cases, energy comes first. Success follows.

So what's vim?

🔘 The ability to move fast from idea to action
🔘 Focused multitasking
🔘 Doing things now instead of pushing them to later

You don’t need to be an extrovert to build it. You just need to work on a few basics to feel more vim running through your veins:

🔘 Body

Sleep, food, and daily movement keep your brain alive and focused. Simple, cliché, but ignored by most.

🔘 Information diet

The more informational trash you consume, the less energy you have. Your brain should be focused on writing your own story, not living inside someone else’s.

🔘 Environment

The people around you eventually sculpt your lifestyle. Choose them wisely.

🔘 Small decisions

Do it now or later?
Speak your mind or stay silent?
Go or cancel?

You already know the right answers.

🔘 Inner fire

There should be things in your life that create a spark inside you.

So you don’t just want to do things—you feel the need to do them.

So if you want to become more successful, start with this question:

How can I bring more energy into my everyday routine?

Money comes later, once your life is fulfilled.

We Say “No” to Protect Your Money 🚩

Many P2P platforms love bragging about how many projects they’ve launched. We care more about how many we’ve rejected.

Saying no is part of the system that protects investors’ capital. If you can’t say no, you shouldn’t manage other people’s money.

Here’s what we reject upfront:

🔘 No real collateral
If the “collateral” is future growth, plans, or a brand story, not equipment, commodities, or property, it’s a no.

🔘 Vague structure and legal setup
Unknown founders, unclear jurisdiction, fuzzy legal structure. That's quite popular in crypto, but unacceptable for lending.

🔘 Loss-making businesses
Big promises don’t cancel existing losses and debt overload. We understand the struggle, but don’t lend to businesses already underwater.

🔘 Unrealistic expectations
Long terms, tiny repayments, and terms that make no sense for our investors—easy pass.

🔘 Numbers that can’t be verified
Nice figures without documents mean nothing. If data can’t be proven, such business won’t be listed.

Every rejection removes a potential default.

💎 We don’t chase quantity. We strive for quality.

And that starts with being comfortable saying “no.”

Don’t Bet on One Market in 2026 🤩

A few years ago, one market was enough—crypto, stocks, or real estate.

The world was calmer. Fewer shocks. Fewer surprises.

But that world is gone 👇

🔘 One regulation can kill a market overnight
🔘 One geopolitical headline can spike volatility instantly
🔘 AI is rewriting entire markets faster than people can react

If you’re all-in on one market, you’re:

🔘 Locked into one jurisdiction and its decisions
🔘 Tied to one volatile currency
🔘 One crisis away from watching most of your portfolio collapse

Don’t try to jump on the “right” train. Be smarter. Build a portfolio with:

🔘 Multiple geographies
🔘 Multiple asset classes
🔘 Multiple cash-flow engines

Your assets shouldn’t rise and fall together. They should be driven by different forces.

Diversification is how you avoid getting wrecked by a single volatility spike.

P2P Lending Fuckups We Learn From

This market is young, but it already has scars. The idea behind P2P lending is great, but when it comes to implementation... well, in most cases it's just bad.

Let’s look at the most common fuckups 🤩

🔘 Hiding risk behind marketing

P2P lending was sold as “a bank deposit, but with higher interest.” That comparison killed a lot of portfolios.

🔘 Perfect numbers, zero risk (on paper)

Users saw nice dashboards and smooth returns. What they didn’t see were defaults and losses.

People lost money because they were told, directly or indirectly, that it was risk-free.

🔘 No real collateral

Some platforms gave loans based on “growth potential,” “future prospects,” or pure goodwill. When businesses failed to repay, there was nothing to recover.
Money was just gone.

🔘 No transparency

Platforms talked about profits, not defaults. No audits. No real risk models. No clear answers. Because there wasn’t much to show.

If a platform brags about the number of listed loans but says nothing about loan quality, it’s obvious who they’re working for.

We look at these fuckups like a textbook lesson.

Because P2P lending is either:

🔘 a mature market with clear terms, collateral, audits, and transparency
or
🔘 a nice-looking project that ends with a crash.

We choose the first option.

Why Do People Repeat the Same Mistakes Every 7 Years?

When you zoom out and look at markets from a distance, you start to feel déjà vu. The news changes. The headlines change. The narratives change. But human behavior stays the same.

The Wall Street Cheat Sheet: Psychology of a Market Cycle captures this perfectly. Every cycle follows the same emotional pattern:

📈 Disbelief
📈 Hope for recovery
📈 Optimism and belief
📈 Thrill & euphoria
📉 Complacency
📉 Anxiety, denial & panic
📉 Anger & depression

Why does this happen?

🔘 Short-term memory

Every market cycle brings in a new wave of participants. Those who were wiped out in the previous cycle often leave or become passive. Newcomers haven’t felt real pain yet, so they underestimate risk and volatility.

🔘 Fool’s motivation

You’ve seen them on X, the perpetual bulls calling for a bull market even when conditions clearly point to a downturn. They convince others to stay bullish too. Even those who lost everything in the last cycle jump back in.

This time is different, right? Nope.

🔘 Greed > experience

When people finally see some profits and start feeling like kings, they stop caring about volatility, previous experience, or cycles. They believe what others say and feel thrill and euphoria, until they lose everything.

How to deal with this cycle?

🔘 Focus on your decision-making and reasoning instead of results
🔘 Come back to your notes every 1-2 years, once you cool down
🔘 Build your own system instead of following others
🔘 Remember that the market knows how to make you feel exactly the wrong way

Cycles don’t repeat because the world is full of fools. They repeat because of human emotion and short memory.

Those who understand themselves and market cycles live better.
