🤬 The Federal Reserve’s Jackson Hole symposium took place tensely, as Chair Jerome Powell signaled a possible rate cut at the upcoming September policy meeting despite clear divisions among policymakers.

🫧 By many fundamental metrics, US stocks have reached record levels of expensiveness, making the market pricier than during any past bubble. The US500 rose to 6,465.

🇨🇳 Bloomberg reports that premiums on Chinese Big Tech ETFs have surged to a record, which may signal market euphoria. The HK50 rose to 25,900.

✂️ BNP Paribas now expects the Fed to cut rates by 0.25% in both September and December, compared with its previous forecast of no cuts in 2025. The US Dollar fell to 97.700.

🇪🇺 European equity funds faced one of the most significant outflows this year, with global investors pulling $2.3 billion last week. The DE30 fell to 24,258.

A brief overview of US.Dollar:

💵 Us.Dollar has shown a strong impulsive move, breaking through not only the local but also the global trendline. After exiting the descending channel, the price retested its upper boundary and is now consolidating around the key level of 97.86, which coincides with the previously broken global trendline.

🔼 If buyers manage to secure a foothold above 97.86, the next target will be the 98.23 area, where partial FvG closure and a test of the MA-200 are expected. Reaching these levels may provide an opportunity to look for short setups.

🔽 On the other hand, a breakdown of the 97.60 support will push the asset back into the descending channel, increasing selling pressure and paving the way for a decline towards 97.20.

😤 Trump fired Fed Board member Lisa Cook. Gold prices reached a two-week high amid Trump's escalating conflict with the Fed. XAUUSD is trading at 3376.

🇯🇵 The US will announce a deal with Japan this week, under which the Trump administration will receive approximately $550 billion in investments. USDJPY showed a slight increase to 147.70.

🇨🇳 The Chinese CSI300 index reached a 3-year high. The HK50 index, meanwhile, has reached the 25590 level.

🇨🇭 Switzerland is preparing a new proposal for the US to ease trade tariffs. USDCHF reached 0.8055.

🌡 Intel warned that the deal with the Trump administration to purchase 10% of the company's shares carries risks for shareholders. The key area of concern is international sales: according to SEC data, 76% of Intel's revenue in the last fiscal year came from abroad. Trump wants Intel to refocus on the US domestic market. INTEL shares fell to 24.53.
