[Update on our delivery partner network: Introducing employee rider fleet]
Dear pandariders,
As our delivery network continues to grow, we're always looking at ways to ensure we have enough delivery partners to serve our customers and merchant partners reliably, especially in areas with lower rider availability and during periods of high demand.
We also know that riders have different preferences when it comes to how they work. Many of you value the flexibility of platform work, while others may prefer a more structured arrangement with defined working hours, a fixed monthly salary and employment benefits.
To meet both needs, we’re introducing an employee rider fleet alongside our platform worker network.
What does this mean for you?
There is no change to your existing arrangement with foodpanda. We know that access to earning opportunities is important to you. You will continue to have the same access to delivery opportunities, incentives and quests through the existing platform worker model. You will also continue to be protected by the Platform Workers Act and enjoy access to safety and welfare benefits under our panda hearts programme.
You remain at the heart of our delivery network. The employee rider fleet aims to complement, not replace, our platform worker model. Employee riders will not receive preferential treatment for orders simply because they are employees. As we introduce this fleet, we will closely monitor the impact on our platform workers.
I also want to thank you for your continued partnership with foodpanda and for the vital role you play in serving our customers and merchant partners every day.
