Elanga (Murphy 46’) | Wissa (Willock 46’) | Touré (Barnes 46’)
Osula (Woltemade 46’)

💡 FPL Note: Iliman Ndiaye (£6.0m) firmly planted his flag as a prime GW1 differential by taking and scoring a 36th-minute penalty. Crucially, he stepped up to take it while Thierno Barry (£5.5m) was on the pitch—an important plot twist since Barry was the one who scored from the spot in Everton's last friendly against Stuttgart. Tyrique George (£5.5m) also got on the scoresheet to seal the 3-0 win, putting his name in the mix as a budget midfield enabler. For Newcastle, Matthias Jaissle heavily rotated his squad at half-time, meaning key assets like Anthony Elanga (£5.5m) and Yoane Wissa (£6.0m) only logged 45 minutes of action.

⏰ Coventry City 2-0 AS Monaco
⚽️ Simms, Tchaouna
🅰️ Yirenkyi (x2)

📰 Coventry City XI :
Rushworth
van Ewijk | B. Thomas | Amenda | Dasilva
Onyeka (Torp 88') | Yirenkyi (Hamer 65’) | Grimes
Tchaouna | Simms | Thomas-Asante

💡 FPL Note: Coventry City looked incredibly sharp in their final pre-season tune-up under Frank Lampard. Ellis Simms opened the scoring early in the 12th minute, making a solid case as a budget forward option for GW1. The standout performer, however, was new Ghanaian signing Caleb Yirenkyi, who dominated the midfield and assisted both Simms and Loum Tchaouna before making way for Gustavo Hamer in the 65th minute. Defensively, Carl Rushworth anchored the backline to secure a clean sheet, putting his name on the radar for managers seeking an emerging starting goalkeeper.

⏰ Eintracht Frankfurt 0-7 Brentford
Big Chances: 0-4
Shots (On Target): 13(5) - 18 (9)

⚽️ Schade (2), Sangaré, Thiago (2), Ouattara, Lewis-Potter
🅰️ Collins, Schade, Kayode, Schade, Jensen, Thiago

Janelt | Sangaré (Anthony 71') | Jensen (Yarmoliuk 71')
Ouattara | Thiago (Wilson 71') | Schade (Damsgaard 71')

💡 FPL Note: Absolute thrashing. Schade and Thiago both scored twice – huge boost for their ownership. Lewis-Potter and Ouattara also on the scoresheet. Brentford look extremely sharp heading into the season. Anyone thinking about Thiago now? 😒

⏰ Freiburg 3-0 Crystal Palace
Shots (On Target): 20 (13) - 10 (3)

📰 Crystal Palace XI:
Henderson (Benítez 61')
Canvot | Richards (Sosa 90') | Riad
Mingueza | Wharton | Kamada (Doucouré 90') | Mitchell (Benamar 91')
Sarr (Nketiah 77') | Strand Larsen | McNeil

💡 FPL Note: Flat performance with no goals. Back three solid enough but Palace created little. Sarr played 77 mins, Mitchell created chances. Assets look skippable for GW1 – wait and watch.

⏰ Borussia Mönchengladbach 2-1 Aston Villa
⚽️ McGinn
🅰️ -
🟥 Red Cards: Alysson

📰 Aston Villa XI:
Bizot (Wright 46')
Nedeljkovic (Cash 46') | Mings | Lindelöf (Torres 54') | Lynch (Buendía 46')
Bogarde (Kamara 46') | Barkley (Jimoh-Aloba 86')
Alysson | Hemmings (McGinn 46') | Rowe (Maatsen 46')
Abraham (Burrowes 54')

💡 FPL Note: Unai Emery clearly utilized this match to give minutes to the fringes of his squad, resting almost all of his premium FPL assets from the starting lineup. John McGinn (£5.5m) made an impact off the bench by scoring in the 69th minute, while key starters like Pau Torres, Matty Cash, and Ian Maatsen all gained second-half fitness.

⏰ Union Berlin 2-4 Ipswich Town
⚽️ Clarke, Emersonn, O'Shea, McAteer
🅰️ -

📰 Ipswich Town XI:

O'Shea (Johnson 83') | Diop (Kipré 73') | Greaves | Davis (Furlong 67')
Lukić (Humphreys 67') | Núñez
Egeli (McAteer 73') | Clarke (Mehmeti 73') | Maeda (Philogene 46')
Emersonn (Akpom 67')

💡 FPL Note: Strong attacking display with 4 goals. Clarke and Emersonn started well, McAteer scored off the bench. O'Shea with a goal from defence. Cheap Ipswich assets look interesting differentials for early GWs.

⏰ Mainz 2-1 Bournemouth
⚽️ Evanilson
🅰️ -

📰 Bournemouth XI:
Petrovic
Smith | Silva (Stevens 82') | Hill (Diakité 46') | Truffert
Cook | Tóth
Tavernier | Kluivert (Rees-Dottin 88') | Rayan (Gannon-Doak 72')
Evanilson (Jebbison 72')

💡 FPL Note: Evanilson scored the equaliser and remains a strong GW1 option. Cherries dominated possession but were clinical only once. Defensive rotation and late concession – proceed with caution on back-line assets.

Brobbey (Isidor 72')

💡 FPL Note: Solid comeback win. Brobbey scored and Hume added one from full-back. Xhaka controlled midfield. Sunderland attacking options (especially Brobbey) look more appealing for early GWs.

M. Miley (Pivaš 81') | L. Miley (Finneran 46')
Elanga | Woltemade (Neave 86') | Barnes
Wissa

💡 FPL Note: Thiaw scored from an Elanga corner. Youthful side used with key first-teamers rested. Newcastle’s pre-season form is concerning (3L 2W 1D, 11 goals conceded). Avoid all their players

💡 FPL Note: Dominant 4-0 win in final friendly. Muharemović scored a spectacular overhead kick. Strong first-choice looking XI used. Calvert-Lewin started but was replaced; Nmecha scored off the bench. Leeds assets look solid heading into GW1.

Rutter (Kostoulas 73')

💡 FPL Note: Narrow win in final friendly. Hinshelwood scored the winner (assisted by Wieffer). Experimental/rotated side used with several changes. Limited minutes for key attackers – treat Brighton assets cautiously for GW1.

⏰ Hoffenheim 0-3 Tottenham
Big Chances: 0-3
Shots (On Target): 10 (3) - 10 (5)
⚽️ Richarlison, Moore (2)
🅰️ Robertson, Tel (x2)

Tonali | Gallagher (Hall 81')

⏰ Nice 0-0 Hull City

⚽️ -
🅰️ -

📰 Hull City XI:
(Full confirmed XI and exact sub times limited in public reports — rotated side used)

💡 FPL Note: Goalless final pre-season friendly. Limited attacking output. Hull assets remain low priority for early GWs.

🅰️ Iwobi

📰 Fulham XI:
Leno
Castagne | Bassey | Cuenca | Robinson
King (Charles 79') | Berge
Bobb | Iwobi | Palacios
García (Nwoko 89')

💡 FPL Note: Narrow win sealed by Castagne’s header from an Iwobi corner. Solid defensive display. Limited attacking threat from the usual suspects – treat Fulham midfield/attack options cautiously for GW1.
