Bitcoin rebounds, Ethereum uptrend at risk
The crypto market capitalisation has fallen by a further 1.4% over the past 24 hours, seemingly maintaining its chosen pace. However, this impression is deceptive, as we witnessed a sharp downward move in US trading hours from $2.83T a day ago to $2.72T, followed by a recovery to $2.79T. A similar attempt to bounce back from lows is also evident in equities, fuelling risk appetite as the week draws to a close. Among individual coins, declines predominate, though some have surged. The top three performers are Basic Attention Token (+9.8%), Cosmos (+9.4%) and Immutable (+9.3%). Algorand (β8.7%), Near Protocol (β7.8%) and Bitcoin Cash (β6.3%) fared worse than the rest.
At the peak of its decline on Thursday, Bitcoin fell to $80.4K, touching its lowest level in the past three weeks and its 50-day moving average, where the balance shifted in favour of buyers. This moving average is often regarded as an indicator of the medium-term trend. It has performed this function admirably since July, when the price consolidated above it, and then the 50-day moving average acted as support in August. Yesterdayβs dip provided further confirmation of buying interest during pullbacks.

πΊπΈ Pre-market trading trends on the US stock market
π A moderately positive trend is prevailing in the US stock market's pre-market trading.
In the Information Technology sector, NVIDIA (NVDA) is up 1.47%, Micron Technology (MU) is up 1.66%, while Microsoft (MSFT) is up 1.02%.
In the Communication Services sector, Alphabet (GOOGL) is up 0.70%.
In the Consumer Discretionary sector, Tesla (TSLA) is up 1.27%, while Amazon (AMZN) is up 0.80%.
The predominantly positive performance of the largest technology and consumer companies points to risk-on sentiment in the US: investor interest is shifting toward riskier assets, while demand for the dollar as a safe-haven remains subdued. Under these conditions, the short-term trend for the dollar is likely to remain neutral until new signals emerge regarding the Fed's interest rate policy.

βΆοΈ Pro News Weekly: Dollar Rally Gains Momentum
Welcome to Pro News Weekly!
π΅ The U.S. dollar continues to rally as capital flows from Europe to the US accelerate. Rising French government bond yields and growing concerns over Franceβs debt trajectory and political instability are weighing on European markets, strengthening demand for the greenback.
π US stocks are showing mixed performance as the S&P 500 retreats from record highs amid concerns over elevated Treasury yields. While the Nasdaq 100 remains near all-time highs, the Russell 2000 is approaching correction territory. A narrow rally driven by major technology companies is also raising concerns about a potential market bubble.
πͺ Gold is heading for its third consecutive weekly decline, pressured by a stronger dollar, rising Treasury yields and escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. However, China's purchase of 23 tonnes of gold in September, its largest monthly purchase since 2023, is helping support prices near two-month lows.
βΏ Bitcoin is retreating as escalating Middle East tensions undermine risk appetite and trigger a cryptocurrency sell-off. Around $720 million in positions were liquidated over 24 hours, while Bitcoin ETFs recorded $485 million in outflows. A stronger dollar, elevated Treasury yields and competition from Big Tech stocks are adding further pressure.
π Next week, traders will focus on US consumer price and producer price data, which could influence expectations for the Fed's next rate decision. A rise in September inflation could push the probability of a rate hike back to 50%, supporting the dollar. Investors will also monitor France's budget negotiations, developments in the Middle East and their potential impact on oil prices and safe-haven demand.

The crypto market is growing, albeit slowly
The crypto market is continuing the recovery that began on Friday, but is rising more slowly; after four consecutive days of gains, it has managed to recoup only two-thirds of the losses incurred on Wednesday and Thursday of last week. At $2.83T, market capitalisation is now 1.1% higher than a day ago, but 3.5% below the level seen a week earlier. At current levels, the crypto market is only just approaching the support zone that held at the end of September. This caution clearly indicates that cryptocurrencies are in the early stages of a bull market, with buying on dips evident but overall sentiment remaining fairly cautious. Among altcoins, a positive trend has prevailed over the last 24 hours, with the ratio of rising to falling coins around 12:1. The top gainers were Filecoin (+13.2%), Internet Computer (+12.8%), and NEAR Protocol (+11%). The worst performers were Cosmos (β3.5%), Theta Network (β1.9%) and Immutable (β1.5%).
Bitcoin is starting the week near $84K, continuing to move away from the 50-day moving average, which it touched on Thursday. At current levels, the BTC price exceeds the previous support zone, suggesting that resistance has not shifted downward and may only materialise near $87K. Only a sustained move above this level will pave the way to $94K, a target we have been discussing since the middle of last month. Although the bullish reversal at the end of last week was not particularly impressive in magnitude, it clearly demonstrated that the balance of power lies with the bulls and that buyers are keen to step in during dips.

The dollar is testing resistance again - FxPro News, Financial Market Analytics
The dollar is supported by elevated Treasury yields and weakness in the euro amid the crisis in France. US inflation may shape expectations for the Fedβs next rate increase.
πΊπΈ Pre-market trading trends on the US stock market
π The pre-market session on the US stock market is characterised by mixed trends, with a slight upward bias.
In the Financials sector, Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.B) is up 0.32%, while Bank of America (BAC) is up 0.37%.
In the Information Technology sector, NVIDIA (NVDA) is down 0.40%, while Apple (AAPL) is up 0.39%.
In the Health Care sector, Eli Lilly (LLY) is up 0.89%, while Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) is virtually unchanged, up 0.01%.
The current pre-market set-up points to a moderate risk-on sentiment within the US market β gains by the largest technology and pharmaceutical companies are supporting risk appetite, but the absence of a broad-based rally and weakness in some semiconductor stocks are limiting demand for the dollar as a safe-haven asset.
In the near term, the dollar is likely to remain within a neutral range, reacting primarily to expectations regarding Fed interest rates rather than capital flows.
