오늘, 코인베이스가 자체 벤치마크 지수인 'COIN50'을 출시했습니다. 이 지수는 단순히 가상 자산 시장의 지표를 나타내는 게 아니라, 실제로 CO50-PERP라는 종목으로 상장되어 최대 20배 레버리지까지 사용해 거래할 수 있는 상품인데요!
코인베이스는 디지털 골드, 페이먼트, 밈코인, 디핀, 디파이, 레이어 1 & 레이어 2 등 큰 섹터를 잡고 그 섹터의 대표 프로젝트들을 편입하고 있습니다.
저는 아무래도 팔이 안으로 굽는다고 당연히 스택스가 제일 먼저 보이는데요! 현재 스택스는 레이어 2 섹터에 들어가 있으며, 뿐만 아니라 소위 '비트코인 레이어2' 가운데 유일하게 50개의 종목에 편입되어 있습니다.
하지만 여기에는 재밌는 일화가 있습니다. 코인베이스는 최초에 스택스를 '스마트 컨트랙트 플랫폼' 카테고리로 분류했는데, 무니브가 이걸 보고 '코베야 살짝 아쉽다! 우리 레이어 2가 아닐까?' 라고 코멘트를 남겼고, 이후 스택스는 레이어 2로 카테고리가 재분류되었습니다.
스택스는 예전에 코인베이스 로제타 업데이트를 초기부터 적용했을 정도로 코인베이스와 꽤나 가까운 편이었습니다. 무니브의 말을 귀 기울여 들여주는 요즘인데.. 뭔가 좀 더 해볼 수 없을까요?
