BIG WEEK

Good morning Seoul

The lore behind $GAEJUKI

ok so before any of this existed there was just a puppy stuck on a bamboo stalk. early 2000s, some random photo, nobody even remembers who took it. the dog is just climbing. clinging on. not falling.

it got posted on DC Inside (디시인사이드), basically Korea's version of 4chan back then, and it just took off. no marketing, no push, it spread because everyone who saw it went "lol same." people started calling him 개죽이. it's a pun, 개 is dog, 죽/竹 is bamboo. bamboo dog. that's the whole name.

and it just kept going from there. it ended up on protest signs. news segments referenced it. ask literally any Korean in their 30s or 40s about 개죽이 and they'll know exactly what you're talking about, no explanation needed. it's one of the oldest memes in Korean internet history.
funny part is he was doing diamond hands before diamond hands was even a phrase. dude was just hanging onto bamboo for his life, but it's the same energy as everyone white knuckling their bags right now.

🧬 token #0
this is why $GAEJUKI is token #0 on the chain. not added later, not an afterthought. it's written straight into the factory contract's constructor, so it existed the exact moment the chain went live. before anything else got minted, he was already there.

the image itself is fully onchain too. it's an SVG baked into the contract, so there's no link that can rot and no server that can go down and take the picture with it. it exists as long as the chain does. can't 404 something that was never hosted anywhere to begin with.

nobody had to explain this meme to a Korean audience. everyone already knows the dog. we didn't invent a mascot for this, we just gave the internet's most stubborn puppy an actual home onchain

Trust the process

They do

Another busy day slept 3 hours and back to pushing lots of updates to the webiste and contracts on test-net

We could just LARP that we have this or that and this or that will work but we actually have working contracts that anyone can go test live on test-net and be 100% sure that once GIWA main-net arrives it will be the first fully functional launchpad for the launch. Printing every first meme there. So yeah go play maybe Upbit will airdrop to test-net users: https://giwa.markets/

Love to see people actually deploying all day

Is our MM more Picasso or Salvador Dalí? Still not sure tbh

MM coming online soon 👀
