A Sudanese invader who was on police bail, is jailed for murdering a London grandfather in an unprovoked stabbing.

Rasheed Abdul Rahman, now 21, was convicted of murdering Mark Carroll, 55, in St Martin's Gardens, Camden, on April 10, 2024.

Carroll was walking with a friend. Rahman, then 19, was a stranger. He signed a five-inch kitchen knife out of his supported hostel and drove it into Carroll's back.

Two months before the murder he stabbed somebody else in east London after following him off a bus.

In the days before he stabbed Carroll as he walked with a friend in a park, Rahman was arrested twice and released on police bail, inc for throwing a brick through a church window.
