Article 370/35A hearing in SC
Article 35A took away fundamental rights, CJI Chandrachud.
"When you introduce Article 35A, you take away 3 fundamental rights- Article 16(1), right to acquire immovable property which was then a fundamental right under 19(1)(f), A 31, & settlement in the state which was a fundamental right under 19(1)(e)".
"Article 35A which creates exception under three areas - employment under State government, acquisition of immovable properties and settlement in the State"
- CJI said as per Live Law

๐Assam Rifles, the oldest paramilitary force in the country, has slapped a legal notice against a Manipur politician for causing โconsiderable harm to the reputation and standing of the organisation in the public eyeโ. It said the notice is being served for tarnishing the reputation and โdiscouraging and demoralisingโ the Central armed police force.
๐The legal notice was served to Maheshwar Thounaojam, of Republican Party of India, on August 18.
๐Assam Rifles sought a โwrittenโ and โpublicโ apology for the false allegation and defamation asking him to retract the statement he made at โCondolence of Meitei Martyrsโ in Delhi on June 30.
