🇬🇧 Pixel 6 can’t install Android 12L after latest February update, but one more beta build coming
This is an intentional limitation – due to the February patch being newer – rather than a bug, and Google confirmed this on Wednesday.
Manually sideloading the OTA should also not work, and it will present an error during the install process.
Google says there will be an “upcoming beta build release in March”. This should be the release candidate (RC) of Android 12L and could come out as early as this Wednesday.

🇬🇧 Android 13 adds support for controlling the brightness of the flashlight
Android 13 introduces the getTorchStrengthLevel and turnOnTorchWithStrengthLevel methods to the CameraManager class. However, this feature has one caveat. Not all Android 13 devices will support flashlight brightness control. Most likely it will be available on manufacturers who update their BSPs on their own (like Pixel), and on devices with Android 13 out of the box.

🇬🇧 Google is killing Assistant's Snapshot feature, the Now replacement that never took off
A new message greeted Snapshot users this morning, alerting them to the incoming death of the Now-esque service. The prompt serves as a reminder that calendar events, birthdays, stock prices, weather updates, and more can all be retrieved by asking Assistant directly — though, obviously, that's a lot less handy than seeing everything in a card view. A linked support page makes it all too clear that Snapshot is coming to an end soon.
