“Play as you download” was introduced alongside Android 12. It allows users to get into gameplay in seconds while game assets are downloaded in the background. This feature is currently in beta, developers can sign for the beta here.

Now when a video starts autoplaying in any of the feeds, the app will darken the background and display controls for muting, closed captioning, and skipping to the next clip with the option to add the video to your Watch Later playlist.
This change looks like a continuation of the test we discovered earlier.

Redditor u/Leopeva64-2 just spotted that the new download UI in the latest Chrome Canary build now displays individual progress bars for each download, much like Edge. This is a departure from the loading rings on the bottom download bar and could suggest Google is finally settling on an interface it likes. Previously, a loading circle around the download icon in Chrome’s toolbar was the primary indicator of progress.

The tool appears in the Android Auto settings under "Connection Help" section of the latest version of the app (7.5.121104). The tool checks if Android is able to send data through USB, which might not be possible if the cable is connected to the wrong port in the car, the cable is incompatible/damaged, or the phone's USB port is damaged.
