The YouTube app for Android and iOS now turns your smartphone into a second display for your TV.
For this feature to work, YouTube on your TV and your smartphone must be running under the same account. You must first open the YouTube app and then on your smartphone, where you will automatically be presented with a dialog box with a blue "Connect" button.
You can then easily interact with the video playing on your TV - read its description, leave comments, subscribe or share the video.
The experience will be about the same as if you were running a video on your TV using the casting feature of the YouTube app on your phone.
YouTube is also testing a pop-up prompt on TV that suggests you connect your mobile device and browse and shop the products featured in videos.

Google's getting rid of Assistant's location-based and assigned reminders.
Google updated its support page for Assistant reminders, retitling it to remove "assign" from the original headline, and to add a blurb about the feature going away soon, but you can still use it in Google Chat and Gmail.
In the same support document, Google also details that location-based reminders are going away soon too (It allowed you to set reminders when you reach certain places), but you can still set routines for a location. However, Google Keep has a similar feature.
Also, you will be warned about the removal of this function by the assistant itself.

Google Drive Web now allows you to cut, copy and paste files using keyboard shortcuts You can now use familiar keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + C (or ⌘ + C on Mac), Ctrl + X and Ctrl + V to copy, cut and paste Google Drive files in your Chrome browser. This saves…
Google Drive making it easier to find file locations on the web.
In addition to seeing a file’s name, owner, modification date, and size, Google has added a new column to include location information in the Search, Recent, Starred and Trash web views of Google Drive.
This feature makes it easier for you to differentiate between similarly-named files stored in different locations and find exactly what you’re looking for at a much faster rate.
Generally speaking, this is an alternative to right-clicking on a document for "Show File Location".
The picture quality from the workspace blog is as usual.

Pixel 6a unboxing surfaced two months before the smartphone's release on... TikTok.
Earlier, we already saw the first unboxing video leaked by the French Google Retail Training on its YouTube channel. And today, two months before the phone's official release, the second unboxing video appeared, now on the TikTok.
A similar situation with the Pixel 6 comes to mind. Then the world's first unpacked smartphone also surfaced in TikTok, only it happened the day before the presentation of Made by Google, i.e. 10 days before the official release of the device, while here we will be separated another 2 months.
