The September update for Pixel devices was supposed to coincide with the release of the Pixel Feature Drop, since they are released every 3 months. But apparently Google decided to postpone the fall Feature Drop, timing it to coincide with the October Made by Google event, as it did last year.
Among the fixed issues, the most critical for users was the non-functioning wireless charging, which was broken by some Pixel device owners (mostly Pixel 4) after the release of Android 13.

The mid-range device unveiled at Google I/O 2019 received its final update today. Officially, its support ended in May of this year, after which the device received a small release for VoLTE roaming in June. It was also promised a final update "by July," but as you can see, Google delayed a bit.
The update has build number SP2A.220505.008 and is still based on Android 12.1 with the May security patch.

Google has confirmed the name of the second gen Google Tensor.
Having released its own processor last year under the name "Google Tensor," it remained unclear what the second generation would be called. Both processors are referred to in the code as "GS101" and "GS201." But now, along with the announcement of the fall event, the company has updated the Google Store, which has brought some clarity.
The updated Pixel 7 page now mentions the "Google Tensor G2" processor. Google claims that the Tensor G2 allows the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro to "bring even more useful, personalized features to photography, video, security and speech recognition."

The August Google Play system update readies security improvements in Android 13.
1. The Security & Privacy tile is back. But you can't open it yet.
2. The UI of the hidden unified Security & Privacy settings page has been updated to look more like Google renders.
3. If you activate the unified Security & Privacy settings page via adb command, the Security & Privacy tile becomes usable. This opens the page from DP2 with the updated UI.
4. Privacy indicators, when clicked, can now open the same page as in item 3.
Again, many things are still unfinished and not activated by Google. So without any manipulation you will only get the first item.

Gboard fixes the black navigation bar in incognito mode.
Remember when you opened the keyboard in incognito mode in chrome and saw a black navigation bar? This problem was fixed in the latest beta update 12.2.03.469624536-beta.

This beta comes with Google Play System Update for October 2022. And if you enable the unified 'Security & privacy' settings page with special ADB command, you will see that this page looks more compete now, compared to August.

There is a new Spatial audio switch in the Sound & Vibration settings, the description of which reads "Audio from compatible media becomes more immersive". The switch is also available in the audio device settings.
In addition, Opus (and LC3) are now shown as available codecs in the Bluetooth Audio Codec selection.
UPD: Spatial audio doesn't work yet.
