Both Gummy candies and cars are coated with carnauba wax. In candies, it gives a shiny surface and stops them from sticking together. In cars, it protects paint, repels water, and gives a glossy finish. Carnauba wax comes from palm leaves in Brazil. It is very hard, has a high melting point, and is safe to eat. This natural wax works well in both food and automotive uses because it is durable, glossy, and heat-resistant. Sadly it does not keep cars from sticking together😉.
