I have got more than a thousand essay in these two days with many writing on both the day!
I am telling those who are writing with sincerity that it is the sincerity which pays off in this exam. Continuing with the topics for the day I will post 8 of them, try writing o all 8. We will end it on Sunday having practiced at least 50 essay topics ! You will have those 50 topics to write and if you will write on those with full sincerity, I don't think anyone can stop you in the essay part!
Post that we will start with GS
I expect and demand a lot of hard work even from my own body and mind each day, so I am very ruthless with goal in hand! If people are there with that temperament and doing it with honesty, sky is the limit for them

Try to accommodate these in your ✍️ writing
3 category of people would be there

Today two more people emailed and sent msg about their selection. One in top 50 and other just after 200. I really felt very emotional looking at those msg. There was a time when I had prepared from mumbai with a full time job without any coaching, with Mumbai floods, London transfer as trader, CFA level 3, RBI, saturday teaching of kids and with a vision that one day that I will be able to help atleast one candidate in their journey.
The coaching world never provided with me a platform to tell the students about their rules as some of them had an implicit/explicit expectations of naming their materials as one stop solution.
Insights tests for Pre, Vision open tests, Insights secure , PT 365 and Vision 365 Pre mains both plus some online materials I had used in My prep.
I did not give any mock interview for any of these exams not attended any coaching for CFA. The reason was I did not have leaves at disposal and working was not a choice but demand considering the family condition. The Mock interviews further to me still seems to sometimes distort one's personality. I just used to discuss things with my father, sister, brother, mother and my gf (now my wife).
I never felt the urge to go to Delhi for preparing even as preparing for UPSC was not the only dream / last dream. There are some things in my bucket list and UPSC was providing a platform to help me with them. Ayush sir of Forum IAS had a very good 2 hour video on interview which I saw.
There was a person whose nick name was Yo yo choti Singh. He used to compile a lot of transcripts at one place which I referred.
Lastly I could not write any answer even. I did tried once for mains but then time hi to nahi tha! Market me logon ne confusion jarur create kiya (AIR 84 - Manish Kumar ji) hamare batch ke answers ko share karke...
But one person really had a great impact on my preparation and he was Mrunal sir, he was the magician. I used to hear his videos in gym, while walking to office, coming back, in Mumbai local trains and where not !
He as per me had simplified the art of UPSC cracking. He used to say " Panna hi to bharna hai, kuch idhar se mix kar dena, kuch 2 point idhar se... " His classic examples
And the other person was Sadhguru. I binged watched all his videos like a TV series and made all my interview answers out of it and some of my own ideas.
That time only I decided that if I get selected also I will make sure to give people who are less talked about!
Even Insights on India was very helpful that they published my articles on prelims. My investment on them of about 6400 gave me good returns 😊
Why I am telling this!
It is not always about paid courses, paid test, paid materials
It is more about your self belief and your attitude to clear the exam!
If you derive seriousness by paying to courses it is also not bad however if you can derive intrinsic motivation, it is then next level.
I always say success is sweet but it is just like a desert and hence sweet. The main course is hard work. It is the main meal. You need to do it!
Mrunal sir ke jaisa logon ko padhana hai, gumrah nahi karna yahi soch thi and aaj bhi hai and aagey bhi koshish hogi :)
Baaki agar kisi aur ka koi result nikle aur batana chahe to bahut achha hi feel hota :)
It makes all the efforts worth it and most importantly my family is happy that despite the adversities in life that we have seen, we have the blessings of a lot of people who in some way gets helped by us😊
