For international students continuing their studies at HSE University and planning to enter Russia.
 
We are pleased to inform you that the Russian Government has approved entry to Russia for all international students regardless of the epidemiological situation in their home countries.
 
Please read the following information:

Study visa:

All international students must obtain a visa to enter and study in Russia.
 
To obtain a visa, you must:
- inform your programme manager about your entry;
- apply for a visa invitation (to be provided by your programme manager);
- send a scanned copy of your international passport (please make sure that your passport is valid for at least 18 months from the date of entry into Russia. Your passport must have at least four blank pages for your Russian visa and entry stamps. If your passport does not meet these requirements, you must obtain a new international passport).

Planning the entry:

It takes at least six weeks to issue your visa invitation and get a visa, so please plan your arrival around the start of the second module. Refrain from buying tickets until you have received your visa invitation.
At least 14 days before the planned entry into Russia, inform your programme manager about the date of your arrival (according to your ticket).
 

Classes:

Prior to arriving in Russia, contact your programme manager in regards to arranging your online classes.
 

Accommodation:

Please arrange your accommodation in Russia beforehand.
 
- if you are going to stay in the HSE University dormitory, make sure that you have received your accommodation referral or you still have a room booked for you in the dormitory. Please send your inquiries on accommodation to: zaselenie@hse.ru.
 
- for alternative accommodation options, please contact the Student Housing Office (Aleksey Zgirovsky azgirouski@hse.ru, Anna Koblova akoblova@hse.ru). You must book accommodation at least one month before your arrival.

Рады вам сообщить, что Правительством России принято решение о возможности въезда в Россию иностранных студентов из всех стран вне зависимости от эпидемиологической обстановки.
 
Обращаем ваше внимание на следующую важную информацию:

Учебная виза:

Для въезда и обучения в России всем иностранным студентам требуется получить визу.
Для получения визы вам потребуется:
- сообщить менеджеру образовательной программы о вашем намерении въехать;
- заполнить заявку на приглашение (предоставляется менеджером);
- предоставить скан паспорта (должен действовать минимум 18 месяцев с планируемой даты въезда в Россию. В нём должно быть минимум 4 страницы для вклеивания визы и простановки штампов о въезде и выезде. Если паспорт не соответствует данным требованиям, необходимо получить новый паспорт).

Планирование въезда:

Получение приглашения и оформление визы занимает от 6 недель, поэтому советуем планировать въезд в Россию и начало очного обучения со второго модуля. Рекомендуем не покупать билеты до тех пор, пока вы не получите визовое приглашение.
Не менее чем за 14 дней до планируемого въезда в Россию сообщите менеджеру своей образовательной программы о дате прибытия (согласно билету).
 

Обучение:

До приезда в Россию согласуйте дистанционный формат обучения с менеджером вашей образовательной программы.
 

Планирование проживания:

Пожалуйста, не забывайте заранее планировать свое проживание в России.
- если вы собираетесь проживать в общежитии, убедитесь в наличии направления на заселение / закрепленного места в общежитии (вопросы о заселении в общежития можно направлять по адресу zaselenie@hse.ru).
 
- по вопросам проживания в альтернативных вариантах размещения обращайтесь в Управление размещения студентов (Згировский А.Ю. - azgirouski@hse.ru, Коблова А.С. - akoblova@hse.ru). Забронировать вариант размещения необходимо не позднее, чем за месяц до даты планируемого прибытия.

Foreign students can come to study at HSE University

The Russian Government has approved entry to Russia for all international students regardless of the epidemiological situation in their home countries.

To enter Russia, you will need:

• Study visa:
International students (except citizens of Azerbaijan, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Armenia, and Uzbekistan) need to obtain a study visa to enter Russia.
Suppose you received a full scholarship and will not pay for your studies. In that case, the visa support will be provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia upon the request of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. The telex number will be uploaded to the personal account of the foreign applicant.
Suppose you will pay for your studies, the visa support will be provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia upon the request of HSE University. A copy of the visa invitation will be uploaded to your personal account of the foreign applicant.
The telex number or a copy of the invitation letter will be available in the "Visa" section of the personal account international applicant. Make sure that you have indicated the place of obtaining a study visa.

• Planning your entry:

At least 14 days before your arrival, indicate the date of arrival in your personal account of the foreign applicant (as in your ticket).

• Classes:
Before arriving in Russia, contact your programme manager to provide you the online mode of classes.

• Accommodation:
Please arrange your accommodation in Russia beforehand. Suppose you received a full scholarship and will not pay for your studies. In that case, your accommodation referral will be available three days before the arrival date, as indicated in personal account of the foreign applicant. You need to download your accommodation referral, print it out and bring it with you to the dormitory. You can send all the questions regarding HSE’s dormitories to zaselenie@hse.ru.

Suppose you will pay for your studies, you cannot live in the dormitory and should send a request about accommodation to the Student Housing Office. May any questions arise, please contact the managers Anna Koblova akoblova@hse.ru and Aliaksei Zgirouski azgirouski@hse.ru.
