Word of the Day:
OMNIPOTENT (ahm-NIP-uh-tint)
All-powerful, almighty, having unlimited power or authority. Omnipotent is formed from the word potent, powerful, and the combining form omni-, all. Whenever you see omni- in a word you have a good clue to its meaning, for you know that half the word means “all.” For example, omnidirectional (AHM-nee-di-REK-shi-nul) means all-directional, as an omnidirectional microphone, one that picks up signals from all directions. Omnipresent (AHM-ni-PREZ-int) means all-present, present everywhere at once. Omniscient (ahm-NISH-int) means all-knowing, having universal knowledge. Omnivorous (ahm-NIV-uh-rus) means eating all kinds of food or taking in everything: “She is an avid reader with an omnivorous mind.” Our keyword, omnipotent, means all-powerful, almighty.
THWART and STYMIE (v.)
To stop; frustrate; prevent

The Harry Potter saga is filled with dramatic examples illustrating THWART and STYMIE. For example, Lily Potter's love THWARTED Lord Voldemort’s attempt to kill her one-year-old son Harry. In future volumes, Harry repeatedly THWARTED Lord Voldemort’s attempts to kill him.

The university is planning to open a children care center for all teaching staff. In the listening part, the female student is a supporter of the plan because basically, most of the teaching staff have so much work. That means it would be an overwhelming thing for them to take care of their children by themselves. In this case, if they are allowed to send their children to the caring center, it will be such a release for them.

Moreover, it's also a fantastic idea for the students who are looking for a job in the children care center, since they arc gonna he paid some money. For example, the man’s gonna try to get a teaching job in the care center to teach the children

Transitional forms of animals are the species that live between their ancient ancestors and modern species of that animal that we are familiar with. The woman got a job in a book center; however, she also needs to do a job as an organizer in a physical affairs at the same time. She doesn't know what to do. There are
two solutions mentioned in the listening part. One is she can quit the job in the book store, so she could focus on the organizing part in the physical part.
However, I would say I recommend the other, that is, finding another person to cover the organizing part of the job in the physical affair. For one thing, although
there used to be some disagreement, if she could try to understand the other person better, I believe there won’t be a big problem for them to work out the disagreement.
For another thing, if she quits the job in the book center, that means she won’t get the payment anymore as she still needs the money. It won’t be a good choice. @aalaeeTOEFLiBT

The second way is painting some colors on the pictures, so those pictures could be more appealling. @aalaeeTOEFLiBT

In this reading passage, the student proposes that the university should set some coffee and tea station in student dorms because that can be so time efficient and save students a lot of money.
In the conversation, the woman can’t agree more with this proposal for two reasons. The first reason is that it’s really hard for students to get up early in the morning and they are always in a rush and they don't have time for breakfast. It can be a whole lot easier for them to grab a nice cup of coffee in their dorm buildings and they don't have to go all the way to the dining hall. What’s more, it can also save them a lot of money from buying coffee and tea by doing so.
Things in the coffee shop in our campus are always more expensive.
