توضیح: در بخش اول، رابطه علت و معلولی وجود دارد. علت: جمعیت دارد شدید رشد می کند معلول: باید سیاست های کنترل جمعیت اجرا شود. برای کردن جای خالی دوم به کلمه nevertheless توجه می کنیم. این کلمه نشان میدهد که باید چیزی خلاف نتیجه ای که مورد انتظار سیاست کنترل جمعیت بوده روی داده باشد، یعنی جمعیت کنترل نشده رشد می کند. بخش های "وسعت عظیم این سرزمین" و "دورافتادگی بسیاری از مناطق آن" ( که امکان کنترل را از بین می برد) نیز درستی گزینه دوم را تایید میکنند. برای جای خالی سوم اگر به عبارت This human pressure توجه کنیم، با توجه به این که این عبارت واژه "فشار" را در بر دارد نشان می دهد که باید در شرایط بد قرار دادن را برای گزینه سوم انتخاب کنیم.
